Before you leave , I must show you my Spring Banner stitch. I stitched like the wind to finish this little design which I posted on Tuesday.   It is stitched on a scrap piece of coffee dyed 14 count aida.

Spring Banner is completely stitched.

I back stitched the banner in DMC 503.

The banner was outlined in DMC 503.

Fabrics are being auditioned for a pillow finish. Fingers crossed I will have a finish by the weekend.

If you are interested , I used the following floss colors:   352, 503, 610,  745, 3346, 3371, Blanc. I posted an update on the floss colors in the March, 18, 2025   Spring Banner  post.

So tell me. What are you working on today?

  1. I was sewing and working on two little quilts when I noticed a pile of patriotic blocks I honestly don't remember making. There's been so much angst in my life since November that my poor brain is mush. So, I finished one of the little quilts and started assembling the patriotic blocks and ran out of thread. What??? I was not a happy girl. grrrrr Rather than ordering a spool of my favorite from Amazon I ordered a cone. I will not be running out of thread any time soon. I win LOL It arrived today, and I sewed the patriotic blocks together and now I'm trying to decide if I want to make more blocks or leave it as is. After a lengthy hiatus from sewing and such it felt so good to sit and sew without fretting about anything. I have another set of patriotic blocks I made on Sunday so hopefully I have some fabric for sashing, and I can assemble it, as well. And I need to make the second little quilt I was working on when I ran out of thread. I'm really enjoying sewing again. Thanks for letting me ramble on and on, Melisa. LOL BTW, your Spring jar is adorable. Love the way you assembled the little quilt. And the Spring Banner is cute, cute, cute. Enjoy your Thursday. Stitch/sew like the wind!!! 2. Oooh the bunnies. How lovely. I have to stitch them for my daughter but may be in the afternoon. In the morning I have to work on my pendant. The second hobby for me is making some jewellery. This is more fun than doing housework. LOL.
    Happy stitching today,
    Gabi

  3. Hello Melisa. Sounds like you have been busy. The Spring jar is beautiful. I love the colorful squares you added. And the Spring banner I must make that. I am working on your Spring sampler. I finished the Winter one and I fully finished the Autumn one. Will you ever have a Summer one? I hope so! My husband had surgery on the 10th so I have been home with him. I've had more time to stitch. Have a great rest of your week.

  5. The spring jar is adorable. Today is my day off, but I have dr appointments and might ride a horse. Depends on if hubby is able to drive the girl to practice later or not. I do hope to go sew some HST's so I can make my birds in the air block and the alternative in yellow. Have a great Thursday.
