This and That Monday

Good morning, Buttercup and a very Happy Monday to you!

Gosh, it has been a week since I have visited you, and I think even longer since I have been IG. 😲 I took a  bit of a social media break and have been enjoying family activities. The grandbabies have been enjoying baseball with games almost every day and my youngest daughter had the opportunity to come home for a short visit as well.  So it was a good week.

Not a lot of stitching or quilting has been going on , but hopefully I will be able to remedy that this week.

I have been a homebody this past week. In fact, other than going to the ballgames, I did not go out at all this  last week.

The brown bean pot is newest thrifty find from a couple of weeks ago.  - More country clutter.
It's rusty, crusty,  banged up, and bulky . I had no place for it, but I had to have this vintage scale. It was a thrifty find  from a couple of weeks ago. Right now it is sitting on a bench until I find another place for it.

I am slowly pulling out patriotic pieces- like the little wreath on the pantry door and the Liberty tin pie tin hanging on the hoosier.

I even pulled out some patriotic quilts to hang on the shutters in the foyer. I still have some tweaking to do.

The top of the hutch will be changed out soon .  Little quilts and stitching hang from the doors.

Mr. Pinker and I began planting the garden. So far we have about 30 pepper plants, 68 tomatoes plants, and squash and cucumbers planted. I  have lost my zucchini seed so I do need to find them .

Yesterday was a beautiful day with the highs in the low 80's. Rain set in during the night and we are expecting rain through out the day.

Soon it will be hay baling season.

Well, ya'll . I will not chat your ears off , but I just wanted to pop in and say howdy . 🤗🤠
Thank you so much for stopping in for  my "This and That Monday Ramble" . I am hoping to get back in the groove and catch up on IG and messages this week as well as post a freebie. So I hope you pop back by .
Have a blessed and beautiful Monday and...

As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

  11. Wow Melisssa, your garden looks awesome. I would love to know how you preserve all your tomatoes, do you can, dehydrate, freeze? I plant about 25-30 in my garden I put most of them into yard sauce like Priscilla from Stitching with the Housewives. I wish I had a few more rows available in the garden for more room to grow more veggies. I finished the Spring SAL, I just need to post it so you can see it, :) It was fun to stitch.

    1. Good evening, Cindy. It seems we planted our tomatoes at the right time for it rained the next day and the plants are looking great. We eat most of the tomatoes in salads and sandwiches, but I do like to can tomatoes for soups and especially for salsa which is a favorite. I have always wanted to make Yard Sauce. I have got to try that. I am so excited you finished the Spring SAL . I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I can not wait to see yours. Have a blessed week. Hugs.

  12. I've been looking every day. =) Love the crow with the flag that's on the penny quilt on one of the quilts you showed. I could see using that in a Cheri Payne quilt.

    1. I still love buttercups too especially when I see a field of them. Weeding is a never ending task. I hope you have a lovely time in the garden getting the chores done. I am slowly making leeway on my weeding, but it is a slow process for me. Hugs.
