The Summer Stamp SAL has come to an end.
All of the stamps are stitched, and the big sampler is in its frame.
Goodness, I have had a great time these last few weeks sharing the summer stamps.
I want to thank everyone who dropped in for the sweet visits and for cheering me on. I also want to thank those who have stitched along with me. I hope these little stamps brought a bit of joy to your day.
I stitched the Summer Stamps twice . The large sampler was stitched on 14 count Rit yellow dyed Aida.
If you are interested in how I dyed my 14 count Aida, I shared the process in a previous post entitled Let's Dye Some Fabric.
| I framed the sampler in a thrifted frame temporarily until I find a frame that I really like. |
I then stitched the Summer Stamps into little pin pillows on 14 count coffee/ tea dyed Aida.
🌞Time to Dye- 2024 post on how I tea/ Coffee Dye my fabric.
The trim around each pillow is two strands of chenille yarn that is twisted and tacked to the seams of the pillow.
🌞Pin Pillow Tutorial - 2023 post on how I finish my pin pillows with chenille trim.
So let me do a little review of each stamp. Remember, if you missed any just click on the colored links, and you will be magically transported back to the post with the charts.

Good Morning! I'm still plugging away on my Summer Sal - I'd like to get it finished before summer is over for Pete's Sake! LOL! Thank you so much for the sal and all the work that went into it. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteLOL Every little stitch counts . Right? Hee! Hee! I am so happy you are enjoying the stamps Donna. If you are like me some days are easier to squeeze in stitching time than others. I am on a mission to finish some projects by the end of the summer too. Have a fabulous evening. Hugs.
DeleteGood morning Melisa!! I am behind with the SAL but I started my vacations yesterday, so I will have time to finish it! I love all the details and design of this sampler and the stamps. Each one of them are a joy! Thank you so much for doing this SAL and for sharing with us your designs.

Eeeh vacation days! I know you are so excited to have some time off and enjoy the summer days. I am so honored and touched that you are enjoying the summer stamps, Diana. I cannot thank you enough for stitching along with me. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteThank you so much for the Summer Stamp SAL, Melisa! I have enjoyed every stitch. It's so fun to see how you've finished yours up. The big one is so pretty in its white frame. I'm stitching the Apiary right now, so I'm getting close. I have to say I will miss this project when it is finished!
ReplyDeleteIt has been such a joy to follow your progress, Diann. Your stitch is looking so beautiful. I cannot wait to see the Apiary all stitched up. I am like you , I miss the stitch along already. It was a joy to share and have so many stitch along with me. It kept me motivated. Have a wonderful evening and thank you. Hugs.
DeleteI finished the sampler and love it! I bought yellow dyed fabric and it was supposed to be 14 ct but it’s 18 ct which I figured out while stitching. Doesn’t quite fit (it’s a little small) my 8 x10 frame so I’m going to have to get creative. I’m in the process of working on the beach stamp on tea dye and 14 ct this time. Thanks for the SAL.
ReplyDeleteGood evening , Lydia . It is so good to hear from you. Oh, I bet you will come up with a wonderful way to finish it in your frame. Maybe add some summery fabric. I am so happy you enjoyed stitching this little sampler. It made my day to hear from you. Have a lovely afternoon and a wonderful 4th of July . Hugs. And thank you for the sweet visits and for stitching along with me.
DeleteWhat a great finish. I just printed out the 'summer' from the header and will work on that soon(I hope). My blackberries are not doing good at all this year:(
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Vicki. I hope you enjoy stitching the Summer header as much as I did. It stitched up pretty quickly. Our blackberries are starting to ripen, but this heat may get them if we do not start picking soon. I am so sorry yours is not doing well. I think it is one of those years where things are a hit or a miss with all of this crazy weather we have had. Hugs and Blessings.

DeleteThe Summer Sal looks fabulous. I love the yellow. I am going to stitch the summer SAL pillows on the yellow! I am not adventurous enough to dye the fabric myself LOL, I have purchased it. I hope it is similar in color to your fabric. I am stitching the sampler on beautiful beige - all 4 are on the same fabric. This has been so much fun - I am loving every stitch. Thank you - have a great weekend. Alicia
ReplyDeleteOooh the pillows in yellow will be so wonderful, Alicia. Do you frame yours in fabric or add trim? I know your large sampler looks just beautiful . I always love a beautiful beige fabric especially when it makes the floss colors pop. Thank you so much for the sweet visits and for stitching along with me. You always brighten my day. Hugs.
