My latest thrifty find is the "Welcome" needlework from the dime table at the thrift store. |
It has been a spell since our last visit hasn't it? Well it is still travel season for Mr. Pinker and I . We have been taking it easy and enjoying the last days of September. In between the adventures, we have also been visiting family some of which has been sick and in the hospital. Thankfully, they are out and doing better with each passing day.
Over the weekend, little daredevil Mr. R. , my oldest grandson , broke 2 bones in his arm while riding his skooter. Eeek and Ouch!
He flew over the handlebars while rounding a curve. He has an appointment with an orthopedic doctor tomorrow. Poor baby. Mr. Pinker had an appointment with his doctor yesterday- he broke his arm too while camping in NC a few weeks ago.
Hmmm, what else is going on . ๐ค
Oh, we have some new additions to the farm!
Meet Mutt who is one of Molly's new babies! Isn't he cute and teeny?
Here comes Molly with one of her new babies! |
Baby Jeff is not far away. Yep , Molly had twins! Can you guess who the dad is? Ole' Rodster!
Little Jeff. Look at that adorable face! ๐๐ฎ |
All three are fiercely independent and spend much of their time away from one another except when the twins want to eat. Bless their cute hearts!
Molly and her twins have been getting the extra special treatment in a pasture all to their own where a close eye is kept on them.
Jeff is ready for a nap. |
While roaming the roads this past week or so, I picked up some yardage for a quilt that I have been working on. The butterfly fabric will be perfect for my Pretty in Peach butterflies quilt that I began in January of this year.
New fabric purchased for my Pretty in Peach Butterfly quilt. |
I will pull more fabrics today and begin making the secondary blocks for the new butterfly quilt.

I do apologize for being behind on visiting lovely blogging friends and checking messages; it may take me a few days to catch up. Sometimes, I am as slow as molasses. ๐

So glad to have you back again, Melisa! I'm so sorry to hear about both Mr. R and Mr. Pinker breaking things, though. I've done that, too, and it is no fun! I hope they both heal quickly. That butterfly fabric is gorgeous - so perfect for you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday, Diann. Thank you so much for the well wishes for the boys. Accidents happen; I am glad that it was not worse for them both. Hopefully, they will be filling as fit as fiddle in a few weeks. Isn't that a pretty fabric? It was just what I needed to get me back into my butterfly quilt. Have a great evening. Hugs.
DeleteAww... that is a shame about your grandson and husband, Melisa! I hope they both heal quickly and thoroughly. It sounds very painful! Molly's twins are adorable--what fun that will be to watch them grow. I hope you're all rested up after your time away (although sometimes I think vacations are more tiring than simply being at home--ha ha!). Happy October to you! ♥
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Carol. I believe my grandson will get his hard cast tomorrow- Bless his heart. He has been a good little patient though. Hopefully, both he and my hubby will heal quickly. We were thrilled to pieces when Molly had twins. The photos do not do them justice in respect to how cute and teeny they are. Oh yes, we are well rested. It is always nice to have a bit of time away isn't it. Have a blessed evening. Hugs.
DeleteSorry to hear about those broken limbs--not fun at all...Hope they heal quickly and well.
ReplyDeleteI like your new butterfly fabric and the blocks is so pretty...Welcome home hugs, julierose
Welcome home! I'm glad the broken arms are healing. Does Mr. Pinker have at least as good a story about his broken arm as Mr. R has? I like you latest fabric acquisition!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, hope everything is better now and they get healed as fast as possible and with no issues. Hope you are also ok.
