DeleteWelcome home! Everyone needs some time away from social media.
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Gretchen. It is hard to get back into the swing of things sometimes when I come back after being gone for so long. But we had a great time on our vacation. Hope you are having a good week. Hugs.

DeleteLooks like a wonderful vacay Melisa! As always, I love your photos. That crawfish boil looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteWe had a great time, Linda. The crawfish boil was yummy, but my favorite was strawberry shortcake with homemade ice cream afterwards. Yum yum! Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteBeautiful scenery! It must have been so much fun. I guess that’s a fairy ring of moss ??? Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great vacation, Penny. It was a lot greener the further south that we went. Isn't that ring interesting? I am not sure what it is but I like the idea of a fairy ring. It sounds magical. Thank you for a sweet visit . Hugs.
DeleteWelcome home, Melisa!! Sounds like you had a wonderful get away--we all need that to re-charge...love that tree bark heart--funny how these things appear out of nowhere;)))
ReplyDeleteHugs, Julierose
Aaw thank you so much, Julierose. It was nice to get away and enjoy some down time that is for sure. Isn't the tree bark heart pretty neat? I am always looking for "hearts" now and I seem to find them often in nature. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteWelcome home, my friend! What a great time you had camping! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. How was the fishing? Yummy maybe? :-) And those crawdads look pretty good too! Good to have you back with us - we missed you but I also know those days away were what you needed! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Donna. We had a great time. The water was up and hubby was able to kayak and catch a few , but bummer- no keepers. LOL. I was hoping for some fresh fish, but that was ok. I hope the month of April has been treating you well. I was thinking about you when the storms came through a couple of weeks ago. They were pretty scary. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteGlad you are home! It sounded (and looked) like you had a wonderful time. You were missed, but I figured you and Mr. Pinker were off gallivanting.
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Robin. We had a good time and hubby just loved the fishing time . LOL. The weather was pretty good too- not too hot or cold which was nice. I hope you have been doing well. Have things greened up nicely in your holler? It has here. Hugs.

DeleteWhat kind of fish does Mr. Pinker catch? That crawdad feed looked delicious! I'm glad you are home. . welcome back!!!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteHi, Terry. I think he was fishing for crappie. He caught a bunch which would have been keepers in our state, but not there . So no fish fry for us. LOL. But the crawfish boil was wonderful. Hugs.
DeleteSounds like a perfect camping trip to me. Welcome home!!
ReplyDeleteOh it was, Jeanna. We had a great time. I am sure you are gearing up for camping season yourself. Thank you for the sweet visit. Warm hugs and blessings.

DeleteWhat are those little crab/crustration things all piled up on the long table?
ReplyDeleteHi , Jenny . Those are crawdads. I ate the corn and potatoes and jambalaya and left the crawdads for hubby. Hee! Hee! They also had shrimp, but I was full by the time it was served. Dessert was strawberry shortcake- yum yum. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

DeleteWhere were you camping this time. I grew up mostly in TX and LA and associate crawfish and shrimp boils with Louisiana since that's the only place we had them. Love the hearts and the alphabet stitching. I'm a fan of samplers.
ReplyDeleteHi, Tammy . We were in Mississippi and LA. We had meant to travel on to TX like we did last year , but changed our minds. Last year was the first time that I had been to such a big crawfish boil. It was neat to see . They had all kinds of foods to eat. Yum Yum! Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteLooks like a wonderful get away!!!
ReplyDeleteOh it was, LeeAnn. We had a fabulous time . I took along a few projects to keep me busy and hubby enjoyed his time on the lake. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs
DeleteMy eyes saw that bark heart too, Melisa! I'm glad you had a great time and are home safely. Looks like you were down in LA with all those mud bugs!! Have a great week. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteOh yes we , went to LA and Mississippi. We had a root tootin time! LOL. Isn't that tree bark heart pretty neat? Have a great rest of the week , Brenda. Hugs.
DeleteBeautiful photo souvenirs, you had a great time while camping! That said, it's always good to be home ;) Lovely hearts, appliquéd and in the nature, thank you for sharing all of this and linking up. Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh we did have a wonderful time, Frederique. The trees were greening up and there were lots of wildflowers in bloom. Hubby enjoyed the lakes and river and I had a great time sewing. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteSo good to hear from you. I was about to send out the troops. Haha Your pictures tell a wonderful story of good times and amazing discoveries. The crawdad boil made my mouth water! What a magical moment, coming upon that fairy ring in the woods. Morels are so yummy. Another mouthwatering sight. I saw the bark heart right off. Some pretty hearts and stitching look to have kept you busy! Glad you are back.
ReplyDeleteLOL thank you so much, Ginny. I thought we would have the internet while traveling and we did for awhile. I was hoping to be able to check in . But we had a great time. Isn't the fairy ring amazing. It was drizzling rain that morning and hubby ran upon it. You never know what you might discover when out and about. I hope April has been treating you well. I bet you have been staying busy. Warm hugs.
DeleteWelcome home from your travels, you were missed greatly. The weather is trying to warm up here in Arizona but I am hoping for some cooler temps (80-90 please) for the next month or so. Looks like a sweet fairy ring and a sweeter bark heart. Sending you warm hugs from sunny Arizona.
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Miss Mary. It warms my heart to be missed. I was looking the other day at the weather in Quartzsite where it was 99. Yikes! Summer temps. You stay cool and safe. It is supposed to be in the 70's here tomorrow- so not too bad. Warm hugs from the holler.
DeleteLooks like y’all enjoyed a marvelous time! Slowing down and disconnecting is good for the soul…and the marriage!! Glad you’re back, though….have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteOh we did Denise. We both got to do things that we love- together which is always fantastic. I hope you are doing well. Have a very Happy Easter. Warm hugs and Blessings.
