Halloween Stamp Sampler - Header and Borders
| I used my Little Jack Trifle as a scissor fob. |
I have already worked out 3 additional stamps, but I will save those for next year's treats. ππππ
| I stitched the Header to make into a pin pillow. |
Now tell me . What is your favorite Halloween candy?
Mine? Hmmm ... well as a kid I always enjoyed bubblegum or Smarties. Of course, Tootsie Rolls ranked high on my list as well. Living out in the boonies, we did not get to go trick or treating often. Any sweet was a treat back then. π¬π¬π¬π€
Thank you for dropping by for a visit today. I will keep it short and sweet for there is Halloween stitching to get to!
As Always...
Happy Stitching and Quilting,
y'all
Melisa

ReplyDeleteI always went for hersey's with almonds or mounds bars...today it's Health and Snickers--
ReplyDeletegotta love that chocolate;))) Lovely 31st stamp...your works are just so original and lovely...
Hugs to a real "sweetie" Julierose
My favorite Halloween candy was Candy Corn. Unfortunately, it is loaded with Yellow Dye which I am very allergic. Now, my favorite is Chocolate Payday. Your latest Halloween stamp is perfect! I am designating you The Thrift Shop Queen! You find the best things, especially your new little cabinet! Well done!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite candy is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups - I especially like them in white and dark chocolate. Snickers and Butterfingers are a close second. I am too fond of candy. October 31 is too cute - I am just beginning to stitch the header and borders. Thanks for the post. Alicia
ReplyDeleteYour Oct 31st stamp is adorable, Melisa! And that Halloween header, too. Such fun little designs all over it. Have fun with your new cabinet - we'll enjoy seeing how you decorate it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Halloween stamp that you shared! When I was a kid, it was a candy apple. My grandma used to make them. Now a days, I'd rather have a helping of cobbler or a crisp instead of a piece of candy.--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteSo much cuteness happening!!! You are a design and stitching machine, Mz Thang LOL I love it all and everything. Big Hugs, DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteHi, what a fun stamp. Must stitch it. For this year too late, cause I am in a little stress. You know the witches arrive on Fri
ReplyDeleteday. Oh Melisa you should see my house. Come over, you are invited. Favorite candy? Candy Corn (didn't get here) and the candy with the hole.
Big hugs, Gabi

Another cute stamp that I will have to stitch someday. And love that stitching for the header, another must!! Thanks for keeping me in stitches, LOL. What did you use for the black trim on the little ones.
ReplyDeletegood morning sweet Melisa.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for the October 31st project. I love it. it's a cutie. i am going to have to check and see if i have all the stamps. i have paper everywhere. i never got my files sorted - so now i have a dilemma. what do i print? i don't remember ever printing the header. have you posted that project? sorry to be a pest.
today i am going to a friend's house to visit. she just lost her husband about two months ago and she is very lonely. she was married for 62 years. it makes me really sad. i'll go over and bring her an iced coffee - that will bring a smile to her face.
sounds like your itchy feet have settled for a month or two. give your big ol' red truck a little bit of a rest, but Mr. Pinker just may say load up the truck honey - it's to get rollin'. i wish i could travel. maybe later. i always wanted my husband to drive one of the big rigs for work. i'd be sure to accompany him on runs so i could see the united states, too.
i love your thrifty find cabinet. that is definitely an oldie. i like it so much.
i hope you are doing well. our weather has changed into a santa ana and i am having a challenge breathing. i have asthma and this weather is no, no, no, not good. it makes it very hard to get a deep breath. the santa ana is expected for three or four days - enough time to do my body damage, but i have my tools to aide in my breathing efforts. i'll be as good as new in no time - just please go away santa ana. we had been having very beautiful weather and we'll have it again. how's your weather - has it cooled down a bit?
well Melisa i guess i better get moving. i have lots to get done prior to my leaving for a friends. oh i forgot to tell you - i am picking up a quilt that i made with a santa stitching on a quilt from the long armer. i can't wait. i'm so excited. i hope you are getting lots of quilting and stitching done.
stay safe Melisa. have a wonderful, blessed day.
blessings and hugs are on the way to you!!!

What a sweet little stamp! We've already trick or treated around our neighborhood - they always have theirs the Saturday before Halloween. We took our grands, and they "generously" gave us the candy they didn't want - lol! I like Milky Ways and Three Musketeers, but we have gone through a bunch of bags of candy corn this year! Shame on us!
