Mr. Pinker and I are back from our camping trip. We had a very lovely time. We relaxed by the lake and Mr. Pinker even fished for a bit. He caught a couple but threw them back in.
One day we were able to visit our youngest daughter. We took her out to eat to a newly opened Whataburger. Delicious. Afterwards I asked her if she wanted to go thrift shopping with me. "Nope," she said, "I will pass". Imagine that. 😳 So after our visit, Mr. Pinker and I went merrily on our way visiting all the thrift shops we could find.
EEeeeh! I am so excited to show you my favorite thrifty find . It is this old timey radio which does not work. I know; it looks ratty and beaten doesn't it? Oh, but it grabbed my heart immediately.
On the back someone wrote the date Jan. 1937. I was ecstatic to get this radio for a song and a dance. 📻💃 Well actually it was less than the cost of a hamburger.🍔 Can't beat that even if it does look like it has been drug through the wringer!
I also found some pretty plates . I need plates like I need a hole in the head, but any whoo, I had to have them. I also got some ironstone pieces and the turkey salt shaker.
Many of you know , but I always like to leave this little disclaimer.
I stitch my little designs for fun and to decorate my home. I feel very blessed by this community and love sharing my little charts, but I am not a professional designer. And I do not have professional software. Thank you for understanding that I have to put each page on separate links because of the devices I use. I apologize for that. These are images of the chart or JPG s and not downloads. I am always grateful for your kind encouragement , your visits, and for stitching my little designs.

Sheep Jar and A Basket for Ewe
You found some great items thrifting. Wish I could have done more of it while in the states but also didn't want to tote a bunch of stuff back with me. Your jar projects are lovely. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Tammy. It is always fun to go out and look for vintage treasures. I can certainly understand not wanting to travel a long distance with items though especially on a plane. I hope you have a wonderful week . Blessings and hugs.
DeleteI would love going to a thrift adventure with you. Love the saltboxes print, perfect to go with your collection, I'm already visualizing new houses being embroidered.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward for seeing the news about the stitch along.
Oh Ivani, I believe we would have a great time. The area that we go to has a wide variety of items and so many reasonably priced thrift shops. Lol yes the print does provide me much inspiration and feeds my saltbox obsession. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

ReplyDeleteAah thank you so much, Mary. My daughter said "Mom you have no place for this junk" Lol, but I enjoy thrifting. I could have worse hobbies. Oh yes, I can not wait to incorporate some of these pieces in my hutch. You always bring a smile to my day, sweet Mary. Hugs
