Good morning, dears and Happy Monday . How was your weekend? I hope you were not too busy and were able to enjoy a bit of time with needle and thread or at least do something else you enjoyed.
Snowflake Sledding and Chickens ,
Stamp 3 in the Winter Stamp Stitch Along is complete.
Two little friends go sledding in "Sledding Friends".
My latest stamp was inspired by last year's Mr. Snow Embroidery block called "Block 9 Sleighing"
Mr. Snow in this stitch also reminds me of my snowman in the 1869 Snowman Crock with the crooked nose and snow covered top hat. Oh how cute! ⛄☃

Can you guess what will be in Stamp 4?
As I run outside to play, Mama says, "Don't your forget your coat and ___ or inside you will be sitting. "
I am really enjoying the SAL thus far. I am so very grateful for all of the kind compliments and visits. Mr. Pinker and I are still traveling so please do forgive me for not being able to respond.
As Always,
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Thank you for the sweet visit.

Dedicated to my baby sister, Amy. Love and miss you, Amo.
hi I love so far your winter sal patterns
ReplyDeleteAnother cutie! Thank you. I had a sled as did my brother. My kids had saucers. Later, when they broke, they used the sides of their playhouse. What ever works I guess! Hope you're enjoying your camping trip and keeping warm! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHola bella amiga. Voy un poco atrasado pero seguro pondré al día con estas bellezas de seamos! Que bonito! Me encabra . Gracias por tu generosidad como siempre. Besos
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this delightful SAL. I have done the Barnyard series and put them up every Christmas since finishing them.

ReplyDeleteHugs, Julierose
Thank you for the new stamp, Melisa! These are adorable! Have fun. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love the Winter stamps! Will be stitching them all. Just stitched Winter Holly Inn and finished off yesterday - working on Love Grows Here saltbox and of course all of the & Chickens (which I display seasonally in a frame on my sewing table). Thank you for sharing your beautiful patterns. So much appreciated - especially after being snowed in a week ago with 14" of snow - the grandkids are finally going back to school today after being out since right before Christmas. Much appreciation - Carrie

ReplyDeleteAnother spectacular stamp, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it.
Hugs and happy week!!
Your jaggedy bent metal sign for a sled comment gave me a laugh. My husband was listening to the radio a few days ago and I saw him shaking his head. He said they were warning parents if they take the kids sledding look for a flat hill (what?),no nearby trees and wear helmets. How did we survive our childhoods??
ReplyDeleteI remember using large pieces of cardboard and inner tubes too.
