Here A Quilt , There A Quilt

Brrr! It's cold out there! I just soon sit on the couch and snuggle underneath a warm quilt.  Welcome, ya'll!

I thought it would be fun to look at some of my favorite quilt posts of 2022.  Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs is hosting her annual Best of -- Link Party ( Best of 2022) . This is the 2nd year that I am participating. Last year I shared several of my favorite or most memorable posts of 2021.

Again, this was a year that I worked on a lot of small quilts.  One of the cutest that I finished was a freebie from Temecula Quilt Company called  Box of Chocolates  . Chocolates always make me smile!! I posted about this quilt  in my Jan. 21, 2022 post .

I created "A Tisket , A Tasket , A Little Yellow Basket " in 2021 but finished the quilting this year. It looked so lovely  when I photographed it on the yellow hay rake .

Kathleen Tracy offered a  Valentine  Mini Mystery Quilt  ( A freebie on her blog. ). It was such a delight to work on this mystery.  Click here to visit Kathleen's  blog.

SUMMER DAYS  is not completed , but I offered it as a free Stitch Along on Thursdays.

There were 12 blocks that I finished in a double churn dash setting. I still need to add the final borders. What has taken me so long? Well I just have not found the border fabric I am in love with. Oh well, I will find the perfect border fabric soon.

"One Big Star" by Duck Soup was a quilt pattern sent to me by dear Patricia. It was the fastest quilt top to piece.

Oh, yes and I am still working on the Easter Quilt. It will be completed one of these days and I will be doing the bunny hop when it is!!!

And I can not leave out Frosty McChill. I began offering these embroidered blocks in November of 2021 and continued through the first of the year.

I think I started the year out strong on quilting and ended with a Frosty finish.

So have you looked back at all of the projects you worked on this year? Any favorites?

Here's hoping that 2023 will be a productive year . And just maybe, just maybe, I say-  the Easter Quilt will see its final stitches.  Finger crossed.
Thank you for stopping by , sweetie pies  and ...
As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

A day patched with quilting  seldom unravels.

Hugs and Stitches!!!!🤗🧵❤

Dedicated to my dear sister, Amy. I love and miss you so much, Amo.

  4. You managed to make lots of lovely quilts big and small. I only ever make very simple things but need to keep a better record of what I create. In fact, I wish I had taken pictures over the years and even kept a list of who I gave what to. Would be really interesting to look back on and remember. Take care and have a good rest of 2022.

    1. Aaah thank you so much, Tammy. That would be wonderful to take photos of all of the sweet projects that you create. I take photos of some but not all of mine. I always like to look back at what I have made. Some I wonder when I made them as well for I have not kept good records. That is a great goal for 2023. Enjoy the rest of the week . It is hard to believe that 2022 is nearing an end.

  5. Lovely quilts, Melisa! I am becoming more and more partial to small quilts!! Getting large ones on the frame is tough on my old bones! But once they're there, I surely have fun. I enjoyed your year in review!

    1. Aaah thank you, Brenda. I have 6 large quilts in hoops right now, but only being a hand quilter makes the progress slow. So the small quilts give me a sense of satisfaction of completion , plus I like to display them. Lol. But I understand wrestling with large quilts, they can give one a fit. Have a great week and happy quilting.

  9. I have returned from the beyond, you have been missed, I just caught up reading and enjoying every one of your blogs!! I really like all of your quilts this year, but my most favorite is the Patriotic ( to me) Churndash , I cannot wait to see this one finished and I am very partial to Flurry and Flakes that I did not see here. Hoping that your Christmas was as wonderful and joyful as the pictures show, Mine was on the smaller side, as we have had a bout of the sicklies attack the family, all are on the mend, so we will celebrate the Sunday after New Years Day. After all, it is the love of family and the promise of the Christ child that is the most important every day of the year. Sending you many warm and cozy hugs from sunny Arizona.
