Winter Wordless Wednesday- Winter in the Holler

Good morning, ya'll. It has been awhile since I have posted a Not So Wordless Wednesday post.  Today's photos are of Winter in the Holler. Not much to see here in the holler except lots of leafless trees.  I hope you enjoy seeing what's in my neck of the woods.

A peek at where my Quilt Nest is - way up in that loft.

Have a beautiful day, my friends and ...
As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

Hugs and Stitches!!!!🤗🧵❤

Dedicated to my baby sister , Amy who loved to hunt the holler. Love and miss you, Amo.

    1. Oh I do too, Annelies. Winter in the holler is a stark contrast to what it looks like in the summer and spring time when the trees have all of their leaves, but it is still pretty. Have a wonderful day and thank you for the sweet visit.

  5. Your neck of the woods looks a lot like mine. Deep in slumber and wrapped in cold! I still love it! Even in the deepest of Winter's there is always something interesting happening in nature. Wishing you a most lovely day sweet friend ((hugs))

    1. Oh yes, all is at rest. I look forward to spring time and seeing everything green up. I agree there is always something fun to find in nature. On this particular day, all of my sweet birdies were not in sight . Brrrr I guess it was too cold for them too. Lol. Hugs.

    1. Oh , Donna. It was very cold. We do not get much sunlight here in the holler and winter time can be quite gray , but I do love it here. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

    1. Oh how fun. I enjoy living out in the country and the holler is very isolated . I do enjoy all of the trees though during storms I am on pins and needles hoping that none of them fall. Lol. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

  9. The word that came to mind with the bit of your Quilt Nest was "eyrie" like an eagle has. It must have a great view out from the top of the hill.

    1. Aah thank you ,Susan. I will have to give a better look in another photo. It is 18 long steps up to the quilt nest. I am so happy that hubby made it for me. I do not get up to it that often during the winter. Hugs.
