And The Snow Fell ... House Freebie

Have you got snow yet?  We had a few flurries earlier in the week , but nothing to write home about. It sure has been downright cold though. Brrrrr!  Thankfully, by Monday we will back into the mid 60's. Now  I do think I can handle that.
A new addition has been added to my ever growing neighborhood. I call this piece "And the Snow Fell... Or The Cardinal House".

A sweet vine of blooms encircles this grand red house.  A darling cardinal is making its way home.

Up on the housetop is a deer. Hmmm perhaps it is Rudolph or maybe it is Dasher.

With all of the flakes, it looks like a cold day at The Cardinal House.
So what do you think? Do you think this would be a good home to get cozy in? I sure do.

The design size of And the Snow Fell is 88 x 83 and on 14 count aida that measures about 6 1/4"x 5 7/8". I stitched mine on 14 count aida that I coffee/ tea dyed myself.
There are 17 DMC floss colors in this piece which includes: 301, 317, 318, 355, 420, 610, 646, 730, 731, 815, 830, 838, 934, 936, 3371, 3858 and Blanc.

🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵

If you are interested in stitching this piece,  just grab , the images. For printing tips, refer to the post Tips for Printing which has loads of tips from my sweet friends.

  5. I do like this little home - maybe a little red bead on the reindeer on the roof? :-) Putting The Cardinal House on my list of to-do projects. Thank you so much. Blessings!

  6. Oh I like this little house Melisa! I like Donna P's idea for a bead - I always forget about beads. Do you ever have thunder snow at your location? I long for thunder snow! Probably will never see it here, so we need to move back to northern Oklahoma where we had it last. ;)

    1. Oh thank you so much, Linda. I think a red bead would be darling too. I have never seen a thunder snow. We rarely get much snow. Just a few flurries usually close our schools . LOL. I would love to see a thunder snow though - as long as my electricity stays on. Hee! Hee! Hugs.

  7. This is just adorable, Melisa!! Love the deer on the roof and especially love the cardinal! No snow here, but after the warm up for a few days, the temps are supposed to plummet. You are a little north of me, so if you get snow, keep it up there, please!! Thanks for this cute stitch. Hugs and love, B
