It's Fall Y'all- Fall Freebie

It's the first day of Autumn! A time for hot chocolatey mornings, and toasty marshmallow evenings , and best of all leaping into leaves. - Winnie the Pooh - Pooh's Grand Adventures.

It's officially here! The fall season is upon us. Ooooh are you ready to leap into some leaves?

Now feeling like fall is another subject, but it has not been too bad here in the holler just in the 80's. The nights are getting cooler and a few colorful leaves are fluttering to the ground.- I guess it is starting to look like fall.

Do you have any special plans for the season?  Baking, Hayrides, Pumpkin Picking?

The grandchildren are celebrating the 1st day  of fall  with a trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. I am sure they will come home with a pumpkin or two and lots of tales.

My daughter has put in a request for a pumpkin roll so that will be on the baking agenda in the near future.

Speaking of pumpkins - this little pumpkin quilt will be going in the hoop this weekend. I pieced it last year.

I changed out my the apron that I hang on my hoosier to a vintage fall apron. Do you collect aprons? I just adore them.

I had a fabulous stitchy day, yesterday. I worked on several projects including Fall Y'all.

Today I will be FFOing it.  I think it will be a wee ornament for my tree.

If you are interested in stitching this piece,  just grab , the images. For printing tips, refer to the post Tips for Printing which has loads of tips from my sweet friends.

OOPS - A sweet stitcher noted that I misspelled y'all ( I always spell it ya'll, but it is y'all) If you stitch the chart just move the apostrophe. I am so sorry for the Boo Boo.

Hello Fall  freebie that I shared in 2020.

Alright ya'll, that's my "Saturday 1st day of fall ramble".  Enjoy your day , sweet friends.

As always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

  3. Happy Fall, Melisa! We are hunkering down as we watch the rain fall and the wind blow from TS Ophelia. I love fall -- the coziness, the colors, the foods (I saw pumpkin rolls at Yoder's yesterday), the crisp air and more. What beautiful displays you shared! Enjoy your Saturday!

    1. Happy Fall, Mary. Oh it is so nice to have those overcast days just a relief from the sun for a short time at least. It would be so nice if you got some much needed rain. I was in hopes of rain this week but alas not a drop. Oh yes, I will share my pumpkin roll recipe. I will be gathering the supplies this week. Thank you for the sweet visit . Hugs from the holler.

  9. Your collection of vintage aprons sounds adorable. I dont collect aprons, I make them and wear them, because I'm one of those messy cooks. And i have to ask, what is a pumpkin roll?

    1. I am going to have to share my aprons one day. I have made a few myself. I used to love to wear aprons especially if they have pockets. A pumpkin roll is like a little cake made of pumpkin and filled with cream cheese goodness. I will share my recipe hopefully this week. Have a blessed day, sweet friend. Hugs.

We are waiting to see if my hubby can have his knee replacement next week. If so, we'll be in Florida for the next few weeks. You latest fall cross stitch design is just the cutest, Melisa! 14. Cute little stitch! I love the needle punch truck. That is so fun! Hmmm...big plans? If it will ever stop raining, I want to start cleaning out the garden. We are never satisfied, are we? Earlier this year, all I wanted was rain and now, look at me. I hope you are joining the kids for the pumpkin patch trip. What a fun time to share.
