Wordless Wednesday at the Creek

A beautiful Wednesday to you sweet friends. I thought today we would go out to our recreational property for a visit. And while we are there I am going to pick up some rocks for landscaping back home.

We will be going down this overgrown path so you may want to put on your jeans and boots. Watch your step there may be rattlers about.

I hope you enjoy this Not So Wordless Wednesday visit to the creek.

I spotted a  deer track!

We enjoy trout fishing here.

My oldest daughter's fishing hole.

This is where my girls used to love to swim.

It is hard to see but there is the body of a deer deep in  the woods. Can you spot her?

Hi there , Sweetie!

Thank you so much for dropping by for a sweet visit.  I was able to get a number of rocks to take back home to place around the flower beds. Thankfully there were no snake encounters. Lol
Oh , before you leave , I want to thank everyone again for all of the kind words on my IG anniversary posts. It may take me awhile to respond to everyone on Instagram but know that you are so appreciated .
Love ya'

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

    1. I had a nice evening in the woods. Hubby spotted the deer immediately ; it took me awhile and then I saw it. Oh yes, I would have been right back in the truck if I saw a snake. Lol. Thank you for the sweet visit, Robin. Hugs.

    1. It is a very peaceful little spot. When my girls were young , we used to visit the creek often and even camp .The girls loved to fish. It was a treat to see the doe. I thought she might have a baby near by , but did not see one. She didn't want to leave the area though so there may have been one bedding down. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.

  9. Beautiful scenery, but you frightened me when you mentioned rattlers! We don't have that worry here, not a single snake in New Zealand.

    1. Oh how interesting that you do not have snakes ; well I learned something new. Hubby kept on reminding of where I was stepping since we were just down from the mountain there are rattlers about. Thankfully , we did not see any. Thank you for dropping by , Jenny. Hugs.

  10. I love seeing your pictures. They are beautiful. However, I can’t get excited about the deer. We live close to the Metroparks and the deer are prevalent and extremely destructive. This month alone, they destroyed my lilac and azalea bushes, eaten half of my gorgeous hydrangea bush and ruined my hostas. So, no I don’t have nice feelings for deer, but please keep sharing your pictures.

    1. Aah thank you so much, Gail . We had a great day out visiting the forest and creek. Oh , my it does sound like you are having a time with the deer. I am sorry to hear that . We have a lot of deer where I live , but since I am in the forest anyway where there is plenty for them to munch on ; they leave my shrubs alone. I can understand why you are disheartened after all of your hard work and expense . You might check with your wildlife agency and get some suggestions. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
