Boo! Did I scare ya?
I sure hope not. Happy Happy Halloween, Sweeties and Happy Saturday.
I made a little progress on "Boo To You! " by With Thy Needle and Thread , but not as much as I had hoped for.
Tonight little spooks and ghouls will be making their way to festivals, haunted houses and perhaps to some not so haunted houses for treats.
Will you have trick or treaters?
After the kiddos visit the town festival and go to the local "trunk or treats", they will make their way to my house where they are going to have a sleepover.
My plan is to roast marshmallows at the fire pit in the late evening with the youngin's and then go on a late night walk through the holler into the deep dark woods up on the hill. Hee! Hee! I will keep you posted if the boys will go for it. Nothing scary mind you but I thought it would be fun to go on a late night hike or perhaps we will take the side by side. Who knows; we might see Mr. Owl that is always hooting and hollering in the woods each evening.
I have a little treat to show you. 🎃
| Halloween Night is stitched on 14 count coffee/ tea dyed Aida |
It is called "Halloween Night". I had such a great time stitching this piece. Though it was teeny, it was my first haunted house design.
| I tea dyed the pom pom trim as well as the Aida. |
Have I told you I adore rounds? I finished this round on a short thrifted candle stick though you cannot see it from this angle.

I am hoping to make more rounds in the near future that I can use on the same candlestick. Maybe change them out for the holidays- just thinking here. LOL
Anywhoo... I won't keep you any longer. I just wanted to pop in and wish you the most lovely Saturday and a spooktacular Halloween. Don't let any spooks get ya'!
Thank you all for the well wishes and for those who have checked in on me as I was absent. I am feeling better each day.
As Always...
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

What a darling design! Thank you Melisa!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute Halloween Night stitchery, Melisa! I finished 'Witch Hazel' some days ago (see my blog), I loved stitching it! It's my very first Halloween stitchery! A hike in the woods after dark and listening to the owl can be a bit scary (I remember from my childhood)! Lol Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the new stitch. It really is cute. A hike in the woods? Hmmm flashlight please! It's only scary when I trip over a tree root! LOL! Glad to know you are feeling better. Blessings - and have fun with your nephews and grandsons!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute round and yes I love rounds too! I have one for Christmas, but it is embroidered. Cross stitched one would be cute. You are a braver soul than I am scooting around the holler at night! We have 100s of kids that come from miles away to celebrate Halloween in our little subdivision. Hubs and I do not participate in the $100s of dollars spent on candy, so we'll be watching TV in the dark. ;) Last year we had fun taking the littlest grands around the neighborhoods - some decorate like Christmas! - but alas they are with their Dad this weekend, but they wanted to come here! :(
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is so stinking cute! I don't think I have ever done anything that is turned out round, hmmm!! I would vote for taking the side by side:0 Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween, Melisa--I hope your spooky walk is fun;))) We usually only get 4-5 little goblins, too. So we get candy bars that WE like hahaha--(snickers for Tom and Heath bars pour moi!!) --also some Reeses for our little neighbors who love those...
ReplyDeleteWe live at the top of a hill on a cul-de-sac and most don't want to walk up for one house!! But...I have plenty of candy ready--as you never know--some haunts may make their way here after all....hugs from "ghoulie Julie"rose..;)))
Happy Halloween, Melisa! Your plans for the night sound like lots of fun! We love trick or treaters here, but don't get many anymore. I think there are lots of trunk or treat events to go to in our town. Your haunted house in the round is so much fun - thank you for sharing it! I've started one of your Christmas designs already - O Christmas Tree - so I'll save this haunted house for next year!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween 🎃 👻 Your new Halloween round is so cute. Have fun with your nephews and grandsons. Later on in afternoon going out trick or treating with my granddaughter. Have a fun day. K from NY
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this beautiful design, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy Halloween night in the woods!!🎃🦇👻
Hugs from Spain
Well, I live in the city, though it's like country, but no one cares to climb our long, rather steep driveway, so we don't have any visitors. Chicken Legs just eats all the candy himself! LOL Have a great weekend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteLove your haunted house! Spooky? Not really but the colors made me know it was for Halloween! Hee! Hee! Hee! I hope the witch that lives there is out on her broomstick somewhere. Lol! I live in a small town but we get plenty of trick-or-treaters. Hoping for not too many because hubby bought plenty of candy and I'd like to dive into the leftovers! Happy Halloween, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween Night; it is so cute. I stitched my first round last Easter - I really enjoyed it. I am once again rearrange my stitch list and starting Halloween Night tonight. We haven't had any trick or treaters in years - I always purchase candy just in case. Your Halloween evening with the grandkids sounds like fun. I love roasted marshmallows! Take a flashlight if walking. Happy Halloween!
