Buzz ! Buzz! Buzz! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
For 4 months now a block has been buzzing away in my head- "Saying make me! Make me!" And it all started way back in February when sweet Linda of Texas Quilt Gal blogspot shared her Stay At Home Round Robin quilt in progress. As soon as I saw her Puss in the Corner block, I was smitten, and I knew I wanted to make a few.

OOOPS In my previous February 1, 2025 post about my Winter Stamp Collection , I failed to post the link for Stamp 3 called Sledding Friends Stamp. I have since went back and corrected it. On Wednesdays , I am working on stitching the pin pillows to this collection.

I LOVE that red and black fabric! It almost looks like something from years ago. I look forward to seeing it completed!
ReplyDeleteYour Bonnie Hunter leader and ender project is really nice. I have so many scraps that I'm thinking it would be a perfect pattern for them. Will have to wait until I get home.
I'm going to be working on some small projects that Villa Rosa is doing. I didn't have a lot of room to bring things with me so I'll be working on some smalls - a scarf, a pillow, snack mats, and a table runner. Here's the site if interested. It's the small project summer challenge

Blessings!
Good Wednesday morning, Donna. I love Villa Rosa patterns- I have done a couple in the past. I did not know about the summer challenge so I had to hop over to visit. This sounds like a whole lot of fun and I already have seen a pattern that I am interested in. Thank you so much for telling me about it. Keep me posted on the progress you make.It sounds like you are going to be one busy gal and with traveling upon that! Have loads of fun! You make me miss the wide open road with projects in tote. Hee! Hee! Hugs.
DeleteYour farm themed fabric works perfectly for that block. I look foward to seeing the top come together. I have too many things buzzing in my ear...but need to finish some things first. Have a great day, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteOh I feel famous - lol! Glad my blocks inspired buzzing. :D How fun is that fabric? Your blocks look so cute, love the chick fabric and the black and red and white. My husband took care of pigs when he was a youngster and still has an abiding adoration for anything pig. Seeing your fabric makes me think I should make him a pig quilt! Yes you are right, no time like the present, but I keep getting interrupted with other things! That chicken cross stitch is adorable!
ReplyDeleteDear Melisa, Thanks for posting the Winter Stamp I needed! You made my morning! I’m going through a valley in my life right now, and your blog is truly a BRIGHT SPOT to my soul…as I stitch I’ll think of your kindness. And, I’ll continue to look forward to your posts!💕God bless you and yours! 💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😘💕
ReplyDeleteYour four patch fun is coming along. It's almost time for a new leader/ender challenge (I hope Bonnie does one this year.). The red/black/white theme and fabrics are soooo cute! Pigs... my farmer brother that took over the family farm had 1,000 to 1,200 pigs at a time. It was a lot helping him. It was a learning and bonding time. I also learned at that time that horses and pigs are enemies. I had a young stud that I raised when my other horse birthed him. He HATED pigs. Oh the memories of him getting to the top of the hill on the lane and refusing to go and rearing up and such. I would carry a water balloon with me each time we went up the hill. Another horse person told me that when he reared up to hit him in the head with a water balloon. I think I hit the target about the 20th time we went up the hill. It didn't work but I kept trying...
ReplyDeleteThanks for jogging that little memory in my brain and making me smile and letting me rant on your blog. HUGS!!!
Buzz, Buzz. . .sometimes ideas do come exactly like that! What an awesome group of winnings er fabrics. You are making such pretty blocks out of them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun fabric collection to work with! You have some fun focus fabrics in that fat quarter collection. I've been doing a pretty good job of avoiding any squirrels. I'll get to start a new mystery quilt in the fall, so I'm trying to focus on that and stick with the UFOs till then.
ReplyDeleteThese fabrics are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the cute little clucky hen. The puss in the corner blocks are making up just perfectly with that fun fabric collection. I was thinking that I might be tempted to add pink to the mix to accent the pigs when you mentioned the blue. The 4patch Fun quilt is so lively and colorful. The perfect scrapbuster. Either one of those are perfect for L&E. I always have ideas buzzing around in my head on what I dhould start. You are so much better at acting on those buzzings! 😉
