Good morning, sweet Lovelies and welcome. How are you doing on this sunshiny day? I hope well.
Last week , I told you about the fabulous thrifting day I had while on our camping adventure. I found a number of great thrifty finds, but the sweet gems were 2 quilts which whistled my name as I perused the many aisles of treasures.
One was a quilt I am calling Desert Rose; it is the one I shared last week. If you are interested in taking a closer look, please do visit that post.
Well, the very 1st quilt I spotted was this bright and beautiful blooming beauty! Gosh, it makes my heart skip a beat or two! Hee! Hee!
I'm curious. Do you know what the name of this pattern is?
I think I will call it " Soft Desert Stars" .
Soft Desert Stars is machine quilted with white thread . Some areas have a "medallion" quilting motif.
The floral border is about 8 inches wide.

If I had a long enough wall, this quilt would be perfect for my "Baby Blue Bathroom" ( Yes I have names for my rooms . LOL)
I am sure Soft Desert Stars will find its way into my Spring and Summer displays though.
I have to admit. I made out like a bandit again. It was priced at $12.99, but to my dismay I got 25 % off of this beauty. Hip Hip Hooray!
Well, that is my thrifty find. I will slowly share more of my goodies in days to come.
| The desert has been in bloom in January and February. |
Thank you for the sweet visit.
Stay bright and beautiful! Love ya!
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Desert Stars is a real beauty and it's already quilted! Enjoy your time in the southwest, we got more snow yesterday. Supposedly we were supposed to get 1" - 2" but it turned out to be 4" - 6"! At least it's still February, snow is expected in February and March but, hopefully, not in April. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteAmazing find! That is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing at finding bargains and deals on secondhand items, Melisa!

Beautiful finds!! and perfect photos of them
ReplyDeleteGood morning thrifty finder Melisa.
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing sweet lady? I am doing okay. I had my back surgery a month ago and I am still in the recovery process. I feel so happy to be able to move without the horrible sciatic trouble I was experiencing. That was the worst pain.
Beautiful sunshiny lady where do you do your thrifting? Is it a Goodwill, Salvation Army, a mom and pop shop? I need to go where you go. Your quilty quilt finds are absolutely gorgeous. I really love the Desert Rose quilt, but I have to say I have found a new favorite - drumroll please - Soft Desert Stars is very, very stunning. I love it. My favorite colors are any shade of blue and with yellow included in the quilt - wahlah - magnifico!!!
I am so very happy you are out and exploring the thrift stores as well as the beauty of the United States of America. There is nothing prettier than our country. I would like to go to Ireland (being I am just about 90% Irish), Scotland and, of course, we can't forget to visit the United Kingdom to see the beautiful couple William and Catherine with their children.
Perhaps someday I'll be able to travel. It's not in the stars right now.
You stay safe young lady. Make sure Mr. Pinker takes it easy, too.
Blessings and love are on the way to you. A great big squeezy bear hug is holding you tight right now. I hope you felt it.

I have no idea what pattern that is, but the quilt itself is a beauty. What a score! Well done!
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty! I adore the both, but that Soft Desert Stars quilt really calls my name, Melisa--I've always love the blue and yellow color combination. I'm envious of your warmth and sunshine. Although we escaped the blizzard that is hitting east of us, we still got a bit of snow and chilly temps. Boy, am I ready for spring this year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spring quilt. What a find !
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning quilt. I love ❤️ Goodwill, there are so many treasures at great prices. 👍
