I am mooving right along!
Happy Thursday y'all. The other day while Mr. Pinker was out, I spent uninterrupted time at my sewing machine and enjoyed every minute of it.
I finished 32 Scrappy hour glass blocks.
These blocks will go along with the 25 patches that I made last week.
All fun blocks in The Ribbon QAL offered by Alycia at Quilty Girl. Alycia shared Step 3 this Wednesday. Soooo I better get to work..
Have a fabulous day!
As Always,
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all
Melisa

Love your scrappy blocks!! That's going to be a super cute quilt. I'm stitching my fingers down to the bone. LOL Yesterday afternoon I made two little quilts, and they have joined the growing pile of little quilts that need to be quilted. Ugh!!! I really should dedicate some days to quilt, quilt, quilt. Happy, Happy Thursday! Hugs, hugs, hugs, DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteEeeh little quilts in production! I love it, Darlene! You are staying a busy bee. I worked on a little quilt today. We need more hours in the day to get all we want accomplished don't we. I hope your weekend is filled with quilty goodness. Big summertime hugs.
DeleteBzzzzz, Bzzzzz busy bee! What a super quilt. It looks great!! Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday,
Gabi
Oh I am trying my best to stay on task. Hee ! Hee! Thank you so much, Gabi for the sweet giggles. These blocks were super fun and fast to piece. Have a blessed day. Hugs.
DeleteYou work hard ! such lovely blocks ! Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Annelies. It was a lovely day in the sewing room. I was pleased by how much I got completed. Have a wonderful day. Hugs.
DeleteLovely hourglass blocks, Melisa;))) They will be so pretty with the 25 patches you've made...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just wonderful to have a whole day dedicated to sewing...[along with maybe a piece of chocolate and some tea? haha] hugs, Julierose
Oh it was Julierose and it would have been better with the chocolate. LOL. Luckily I did have my tea though. Thank you for the sweet Thursday visit. Hugs.
DeleteWhat a wonderful assortment of scrappy blocks, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Robin. I was thrilled to pieces to get them finished. Now I am ready for the next step. Hugs.
DeleteOh your scrappy red hourglass blocks!!! They make me happy. They are going to look great in that quilt. Your little steer is so handsome.
ReplyDeleteAah thank you so much, Kathy. I am anxious to see how all of these blocks will play together. Isn't the babe the cutest? I do love the calves. Hugs and blessings.
DeleteYou really did have a fun productive day while home all alone;)
ReplyDeleteOh yes I did, Vicki. I got more completed than what I expected which was nice. I hope your day was a lovely one. Hugs.
DeleteWe do love our men, but that uninterrupted sewing time - not having to stop and cook or "honey come look at this" - it's priceless, right? When Hubs worked in an office, I used to simply eat some chips with fruit juice for lunch then get right back to it - yes poor nutrition but hey I survived. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Linda you are so right. I had a blast in the sewing room just piecing away. I have had to adjust with hubby being home. Luckily, he has his hobbies that take him outside most of the time. Hee! Hee! Hmm chips and fruit juice sounds fine to me. LOL Hugs.
DeleteIt's nice to have uninterrupted time in the studio, Melisa! Your scrappy blocks are looking awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt was very nice, Brenda. It seems like it has been awhile since I have been able to spend more than an hour sewing. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteI really love your scrappy blocks, Melisa!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Hugs
Aaah thank you so much Isabel. They were super fun to piece. I look forward to working them up in the quilt. Hugs.
DeleteI can't get over how adept you are with all your various needlework, Melisa. Love these blocks and it reminds me I made these last year for the RSC challenge...they're around here somewhere, LOL
ReplyDeleteAaaw, Jocelyn thank you so much. You are so very kind. These blocks were super fun to piece. Lots of fun fabrics to play with too. Have a blessed day. Hugs.
DeleteThis is going to be FABULOUS!! Can't wait to see it all laid out!!!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much, Alycia. This is such a fun QAL. Thank you so much for offering it to us. I am having a ball. Hugs.
DeleteYour Ribbon QAL is coming right along! So pretty and not a difficult quilt, at all. You will have it together in no time. I just noticed the red pick up with the sunflower in your header. I will have to look to see if it one you've shared with us. So cute!
ReplyDeleteAah thank you so much, Ginny. I am enjoying every minute of this quilt. I do believe it will be a quick piece as well. That little red pickup truck was a gift. Isn't it cute? I am not sure but it might be a Stitching with the Housewives piece, but I am guessing. Warm hugs.
DeleteThe blocks look great; I love your colors. You had a very productive day! Alicia
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Alicia. I am hoping it will all come together nicely. I have used a variety of prints that were in my stash so I have my fingers crossed. Have a blessed day. Hugs.
