Good Friday morning to you , sweet chicks. Please do come in and join me; I do have lots to share. A cup of hot coffee is sitting on the buffet for you to enjoy. Sugar ? Or do you like it black? If you are not a coffee lover , I do have iced sweet tea in the fridge. 🥤🤗
The backing was a 100 % cotton sheet that is white with large pink polka dots on it. How perfect for an Easter quilt.

Now I bet some of you are wondering about the Summer SAL. I am still thinking about it. I am toying with the idea of creating a lot of different stamps with various themes and then let you choose the colors , and stamps you want in your sampler. - Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteAaaw thank you so much, Darlene. I have had some of the fabrics for a long long time. It was a super fun quilt to piece as well as quilt though it took me forever. LOL. It just warms my heart that the stitch reminds you of your grandmother. You are just like me- it sounds like your grandma was the apple or your eye. I know both of mine were. Have a super weekend and Happy Easter. Hugs.

ReplyDeleteAaaw shucks, Nancy . Thank you so much. Though it took me a long time, I sure did enjoy working on this quilt. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs.
DeleteOh I LOVE that Easter quilt - so colorful and happy! Your hand quilting is just amazing - do you keep track as to how long it takes?
ReplyDeleteAah thank you so much, Alycia. This quilt took a few years to quilt only because I was hopping from one project to another. But one year I decided to focus on hand quilting one project and kept up with the time. It took 1 month to hand quilt a full sized one. My fingers were flying LOL. But it is hard for me to stay focused on one project so most linger for years. Happy quilting. Hugs.
DeleteLove this new stamp Melisa! I will collect your designs for later when I have time, they are a treasure!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Melissa, I so love your posts and patterns. Thank you.
