What's going on in the holler today? Well, a little bit of this and that and a whole lot of nothing! LOL. 😀😏
Oh bother, here comes Miss Witch Hazel McPumpkin, sweeping up a storm when she should be working on her cottage. Cackle! Cackle!
Please forgive her green complexion . She had a bad bowl of toadstool soup, but she will be fine and dandy come Halloween time.
I work on Halloween stitches on Wednesdays for at least 15 minutes.
Pickings have been slim at the thrift stores lately , but over the last few weeks I have added 2 stinkin' cute Halloween jack- o- lantern mugs for my small collection.

Hmmm... what else can I show you? Well, I am making progress on Susannah's dress in Celebrate the Harvest , a new design I am working on.
On Thursdays I work on Thanksgiving stitches.
And... I am ready to sew down the binding on Little Red Four Patch .
I guess there is a few things going on in the holler today.
So ... What are you working on today?
As Always,
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all
Melisa
Thank you for the sweet visit.

ReplyDeleteIt's great to work on a different embroidery theme each day.
Happy Wednesday!
Hugs
Cute mugs. Nice projects. I'm crocheting and cross-stitching whenever I can, as much as I can.
ReplyDeleteYou really have your holidays in a row! I started Christmas ornies in April but got so frustrated with them that I have completely changed my mind and gone another direction. Working on your Summer SAL but waaaay behind on that one. Sigh. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to just stitch all day and not worry about anything else like dinner, chores, etc.? :-D Blessings!
ReplyDeleteNice to switch off on working different projects, Melisa. I hope to quilt a few more lines on my "Lollipops" piece today. (Behave now, hands!!) ;)))So far it is sunny here, but we have big rains forecast through tomorrow...and it's been super hot --very unusual for May..
ReplyDelete.hugs, Julierose
You are making several cute patterns - I can’t wait to see the finished design. I have been amazed at how much you accomplish, it must be your organization and energy. I have 3 projects currently and I have trouble switching between them -LOL. The pumpkin mugs are fun and will look great in your Halloween display. It looks like your grandson has inherited your artistic talent. Thanks for the visit. Have a great day. Alicia
ReplyDeleteI saw some Halloween fabric online yesterday while I was buying Grunge on sale. It will be here before we know it! Those are really cute mugs, and I love your turkey planter.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have 'themes' assigned to certain days of the week for stitching. You found some nice items at the thrift store, and at really good prices. Your grandson is already quite the artist. His chalk-art is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI am glad I am not the only one who works on projects out of season!! You find some really fun stuff at the thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely turkey planter, Melisa! What a wonderful chalk work of your grandson's!
ReplyDeleteSo you designate a day to work on a particular project! That plan sure works well for you with all the finishes that you complete! Today, I'm finishing hand stitching a sleeve to my 2022-2023 temperature quilt. --TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love a green skinned witch--ha ha! Love your fall designs, Melisa, and the turkey and pumpkin thrifted goodies are so cute. I haven't been to the thrift stores in quite a while now--need to get back in that habit. Hope you have a wonderful relaxing day! ♥
ReplyDeletegood morning beautiful Melisa.
ReplyDeleteyour grandson's chalk art is beautiful and is a perfect representation of how i have been feeling for the last few month's. it is very beautiful and leaves the viewer the ability to have their own interpretation.

You've had busy stitching fingers lately, Melisa! I love Miss Witch Hazel- she looks like a fun one even with her green face. I'm planning to work on my Lyra quilt today - it has lots of star blocks in it. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteRealllllllly neat sidewalk drawing--that kid has some talent!!! Love your thrift finds-you are always good at finding just the right things for your collections and decor---and--2 more Cross stitches for us to wait and see on--?? I did do a bit of cross stitch this morning--but really wanted to sew--so I did--got 8 rows of 8blocks each sewn together for a baby quilt for charity-so that felt good---and I have lots of handwork to do this afternoon--as most afternoons--will be doing a post soon--I hope!!! hugs, di
ReplyDeleteI am always excited to see what new designs are in the pipeline. Fall stitching must be in the air today. I am working on Pumpkin Blossom Inn. As soon as I finish it I will get back to 250 years Patriot's Log Cabin. So many houses to stitch. I need arms like an octopus to stitch them all.
ReplyDeleteI love Miss Witch Hazel - in her own way she's quite cute. LOL Always a busy bee in the holler. Not much happening in my corner of the world other than mental plans and such. I've been ill so the back of my eyelids is all I've seen lately. Big Sigh!!! I keep telling myself 'This too shall pass'. Lots of hugs!! DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteI am making Christmas stitches so I will be in time this time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all the things you are working on!
