A Hip Hopping Finish and A Down on the Farm Stamp Freebie

Good Friday morning to you , sweet chicks. Please do come in and join me; I do have lots to share. A cup of hot coffee is sitting on the buffet for you to enjoy. Sugar ? Or do you like it black? If you are not a coffee lover , I do have iced sweet tea in the fridge. 🥤🤗

Eeeh! Woo Hoo! I am hip hopping happy!!!!
I have a finish! 🐰🐇🐰

The Easter Quilt is complete!

I believe I started it in 2019 or thereabouts.

I have spent "many a hours" sitting on the porch stitching away on this colorful quilt. To be honest, I thought I would never complete it.🙄🤣  Hee! Hee!

But here it is - in all it's glory!  In time for Easter! So to say I am hip hopping Happy is an understatement.

The Easter quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted using the Baptist Fan design.

The backing was a 100 % cotton sheet that is white with large pink polka dots on it. How perfect for an Easter quilt.

What else do I have to share? Well...

It is Farm Friday! And I will be working on a farm stitch.

I have had the hankering to stitch some farm themed stamps for awhile. Well, I finally pulled out some floss and started one.
Cluck! Cluck! Of course I had to start out with a chicken stitch. Though I no longer have chickens, I am still known as the crazy chicken lady in some circles. Hee! Hee! I just love , love, love chickens!

This little stamp is called "Here , Chick Chick"!

Just two little chickens living wild and fancy free - frolicking in the flower garden. My hens were notorious for scratching my gardens up.

I will be sharing the little farm stamps ever so often on Fridays. I have no set schedule on their release just when one comes to me, and I finish it. They will mainly be about farm life and the things that I love. So far I have over 12 in mind and more are brewing.

Now I bet some of you are wondering about the Summer SAL. I am still thinking about it. I am toying with the idea of creating a lot of different stamps with various themes and then let you choose the colors , and stamps you want in your sampler. - Just a thought.

Hubby and I will be going to town today to get groceries for the upcoming Easter meal.  We also hope to visit some thrift shops and antique stores. Fingers crossed we will find some deals. 🤞

Well, I do believe I have rambled long enough. I wish you a hip hopping happy day! Love ya' a bushel and a peck !😘❤

 As Always,

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

    1. Aah thank you so much, Alycia. This quilt took a few years to quilt only because I was hopping from one project to another. But one year I decided to focus on hand quilting one project and kept up with the time. It took 1 month to hand quilt a full sized one. My fingers were flying LOL. But it is hard for me to stay focused on one project so most linger for years. Happy quilting. Hugs.
