Sunny Piecing!

 Yee Haw! Howdy , y'all!

Sunny Rails and Happy Trails is in the works. I have been working on more Scrappy Happy Hourglass Blocks.

These measure 3 1/2" square. So far 18 blocks have been made.

I have also worked on the Scrappy Trails and Rails which measure  3 1/2" x 6 1/2" .

Lots more piecing to be completed before I start to make them into blocks, but work is being done.

More crumb blocks are being pieced as well.

I add to them when crumbs magically appear in my sewing bin. Hmmm how does that happen?

As I work on Sunny Rails and Happy Trails,  I will be dreaming of Mr. Pinker and I hitting the trail ,  exploring and meandering about.

Aaah maybe here soon Mr. Pinker and I will hitch up the old wagon and hit the trail but for now I will just dream.

Thank you for the sweet visit. I hope you are having a scraptastic day!

As always,

Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all

  9. Nice looking hourglass blocks, they are so tiny. Would you believe crumb blocks are hard for me? They should be so easy but I overthink them. I'm dreaming of hitching up and heading out too!

  15. Goodness , I don't know what to comment on first. The blocks are looking very nice and hint at something so bright and happy! It will be great to look forward to where this goes. The string blocks make me smile. The covered wagon looks brand new. Have you ridden in it? So cool! The lake pic looks so tempting. It is still too blasted hot here. The little prairie dolls are cute. Is the cob inside the head part? I've never seen ones like yours. Lucky you to have some rain. I would like some of that action, too. LOL

    1. These little blocks are so fun to work on , Ginny. I think the colors are really calling to me. We didn't get to ride in the covered wagon. I think it would be a lot of fun to ride in one though. We have spent most of the time at the river with the boys this week in between rain showers . They did catch a fish or two which thrilled them. Aren't the little prairie dolls the cutest. They are just little corn cobs with fabric wrapped over them- no sewing . These are close to 30 years old. I would like to make some sometime. I sure wish I could send you some of our rain; it has been nice. Hugs from the holler.

    1. Oh thank you so much, Alycia. I am having a ball working on this quilt. We saw that wagon at Scottsbluff National Monument. Isn't it magnificent? Every now and then we see a nearby farmer ride in his old wagon being pulled by horses. It is such a lovely sight. Have a great week. Hugs.
