Good morning, ya'll . When Mr. Pinker and I visited Roan Mountain State Park ,we visited the Miller Homestead. We were not able to tour the inside of the house but enjoyed strolling around the outside. These are few snapshots for a not so wordless Wednesday post😁🤐. Hope you enjoy.

DeleteGood evening, Donna. Aren't those little hidden away spots fun to explore. I love it when state parks have museums or older building to explore. Oh yes those are little bee houses. I have been wanting to make some for our garden. They had at least two at this homestead. One seemed to be made of river cane. They were very interesting. Thank you sfor the sweet visit. Hugs.

DeleteThe structure with tubes is a Mason Bee house. There are oodles of instructions to make one on the internet.
ReplyDeleteI was trying to think of the name of these structures.I have seen them and have wanted to make my own. One of these was made with cane. I think it would be a great addition to the garden. Thank you for the sweet visit and the info. Have a very lovely week.

Aaah it was very peaceful and a great place to visit. One of my favorites of the vacation. I am so excited that you have stitched the seasonal stamps and lol I had to go back to check about the summer one. I have shared the Watermelon stamp on Aug 16, 2021, but I have not shared the summer one yet. I will certainly get to that. Thank you so much for the reminder. I hope to have it out very soon.
