Happy Independence Day!

Hip Hip Hooray! It is our nation's 250th birthday!  Happy Independence Day to all of those who celebrate! ๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿงจ๐Ÿงจ๐ŸŽ‡

Dear Annelies at Quilts and Siggies Blogspot posted her "250 Year - A Patrioit's Log Cabin" on her blog yesterday. I do hope you will visit  Annelies and see her beautiful stitching. She shares the most beautiful needlework, hers and antique pieces as well. Thank you, Annelies. ❤๐Ÿ˜˜

And may I give a big thank you with lots of love to all of the veterans and active military  members who have served and protected our great country. One of those Veterans is my daughter . I am one Proud Mama of both my girls! ❤♡๐Ÿ’™

I plan to spend most of the day relaxing with needle and thread  in hand, though I am not sure what I will begin first.

By evening, I hope to see a grand fireworks display.

  7. Happy 4th, Melisa! I hope you have a wonderful day! Your dedication to your sister made me think of my sweet sister-in-law who passed away a few years ago, much too young. She loved big family potlucks and was the 13x9 pan queen in our family! I miss her terribly! Hugs to you!

    1. Aaw such a sweet memory of your dear sister- in - law. I know your family misses her terribly . I am sure if you are like me; it is even harder during family celebrations and events. The warm memories always bring smiles don't they? My sister loved get togethers like I do. She and I were always the ones who made sure the family "gathered" . She said we would look for any excuse to have a cookout. LOL. She was right. I wish you and your family a very Happy 4th. Hugs.

  8. Happy Fourth! I hope you have a relaxing day and that you make lots of progress with your stitching! We will be having a quiet day and then we will be listening to the fireworks as well as being on the alert for fire starting in the dry grass. I'm glad you have so many wonderful memories of your sweet sister and that you share them with us. I feel like I've had the chance to know her.

    1. A quiet day at home and then listening to the fireworks sounds delightful, Terry. I wish you and your family a very Happy 4th. I had wondered about some areas in respect to the drought and if it would affect the fireworks display. Aaw thank you so much for the kind words about my sis, Terry. She is on my mind 24/7. My sister was a hoot and was very outgoing. I miss her terribly. Thank you for the sweet visit. Hugs and Blessings.

  11. Happy 4th of July to you and your family. I am planning to continue stitching patriotic over the next year as there so so many great patriotic things to stitch. I emailed you and just in case it got stuck in the dreaded spam folder I thought I would ask here too. I notice another saltbox in your blog header on the right side above the Waxing Moon Patriotic Trio. Will this one be released next year? You know I am super obsessed with your saltboxes. :)

    1. Happy Independence Day, Lisa. I hope you are having a fabulous day. It is so exciting to hear that you are going to be working on patriotic things all year too. Oh thank you so much for telling you emailed me- it just may have gotten stuck in spam so I will check there. Oh yes, I had meant to post that house earlier. It is called "A Home of Faith, Family and Freedom". This house was an absolute joy for me to stitch. I may post it next. Thank you so much for asking about it . I cannot tell you how much it means to me that you enjoy my little houses. I worry sometimes that I have stitched too many of them. LOL. But I do enjoy stitching and sharing them so much. Have a beautiful day sweet friend. Hugs.
