Beehives and Matchsticks- Making Progress

Just a quick Howdy Do! Welcome, sweet friends and a very lovely sunny day to you. I just wanted to drop in to say hello and share my plans for the day. Mr. Pinker and I just returned from a quick trip to the great state of Louisiana so I am trying to get back into my daily swing of things.

The kitchen tiered tray by the corner sink is decorated with stacks of condiment bowls , eggs and chickens.

Anywhooo... Summer Stamp stitching is going on. I will finish this little stamp today, and then I have 2 more to stitch before I will be ready for the big stamp sampler.

"In the Apiary" Summer Stamp is in the works.

Also a small quilt that I am calling Matchsticks is in the hoop. It was made using leftover 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips.

Well that's it for me! Hee! Hee! I told you this was short and sweet.

Of course, I had to add a little  vintage piggie to the tiered tray.

May your day be filled with sunshine, beautiful blooms  and remember to stay as busy as a bee! Love ya'!

As Always,

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

Lots of cabbages on the 2025 Easter shelf display.

Dedicated to my baby sister, Amy. Love and miss you, Amo.

I am joining these lovely ladies' link parties. I hope you check them out; they always have so many wonderful projects going on and provide the opportunity for other needle workers to meet.

  2. The summer stamp you are stitching today is very cute - I am excited to see the other stamps and the summer sampler. The matchsticks quilt is an excellent way to use those “extra” cut fabrics from other quilts. I am going to go through my baskets of extras. I think the pattern would look great in spring colors! I love how you have displayed the chickens and pig. Thanks for the visit. Have a great day. Alicia

  5. The little stamp is one I must add to my bee display. Matchsticks is a cute quilt and a great way to use up those small leftover strips.

  6. What a fun way to add color to your tiered tray with all the little condiment bowls. Then add in all the critters and other accents and you've created such a pretty display for your kitchen. The current projects are coming along wonderfully. Glad you had a good time in LA.

  10. Good to 'see' you. Short and sweet is perfect. Summer Stitches is sweet and Match Sticks is perfect. I finally spent time at my sewing machine today - it's definitely been quite a while. I've been enjoying cross stitch projects but have had a desire to make a couple of easy peasy small quilts. I'm glad you're home. Take very good care. Big Squeezy Hugs, DarleneJ
