SNOWBIRD REPORT: Still no snow in the holler according to my daughter.
Welcome, Sweet friends . I hope you are having a wonderful winter day. So what is the "Snowbird Report " in your neighborhood? Have you had any of the white fluffy stuff yet?
My grandchildren are certainly dreaming of snow. They have 13 built in snow days that they sure would enjoy using if possible. Just maybe Mother Nature will oblige.
I am so excited to share with you a simple stitch called "Dreaming of Snow" . A cute quick stitch perfect for winter or the Christmas season.
I will be finishing this piece into a pin pillow.

I will keep this visit very short and sweet. I hope you enjoy your day and thank you for taking the time to visit my humble little spot in blogland.
As always...
Happy Stitching and Quilting, y'all
Mr. Pinker and I are still roaming in the old camper . It is rare that we have service but when we do, I pop in to read the sweet comments and visit my blogging friends, but unfortunately I can not respond back until I return. Please forgive me.
If your grandchildren would like to play in the snow, have them travel to northern Indiana. My grands are missing school but not because of snow even though there is plenty on the ground. It's warmed up to 1* now at 6 am with a high of 6* predicted for the day. So they don't have a snow day, it's a cold day. Happy traveling!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold, Texas A&M closed the campus for today. The sleet they got on Monday night didn't help any. We have snow on the ground, just 2 to 3 inches. Hope your grand kids get their snow day this week. Love the snow man. Though I'm not dreaming of snow, I'm dreaming of spring!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteWe only got a dusting of the white stuff, not nearly enough for me! I hope Mr. Snowman gets his wish for snow - he sure is cute. Is the snowflake beneath his pattern also one of your patterns?
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to a dusting in the Holler yesterday morning. It began snowing in earnest last night and continued overnight. We woke up with 4 inches of the white stuff this morning. As long as the roads are clear by tomorrow (we have to head to Charlottesville), all is good. Hopefully, snow in your Holler will be coming.
ReplyDeleteHey Melisa, in NE Okla we have had bitter freezing cold and snow. I prefer flip flops and shorts, I DO NOT like cold and snow unless I am looking at it afar on the mountain. Wish I could send it your way. Love your snowman who is dreaming of snow. Love stitching snowmen-that’s the way I like em. 😂. Y’all enjoy your trip. ❤️🤗
ReplyDeleteWell, my friend, we awoke to 17 degrees and a good dusting of snow, along with some ice this morning! BRRRR. I wasn't made for cold weather! Right now it's still snowing but expected to move out soon. Our driveway is ice, so we won't be going anywhere, probably for two days, until it melts. It doesn't get a lot of sun and is about a 40 degree angle, so we don't get out! Good thing Chicken Legs works from home! LOL Hope you are having a blast on your vacay! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great time. We have lots of snow in Iola Wisconsin. It's -7 with a real feel of -24. This is my first winter in WI..moved from CO.. a -7 in WI feels alot colder than a -7 in WI..due to humidity i'm guessing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Dreaming of Snow Pattern. Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us. !
ReplyDeleteDon't have to dream of snow as the grandkids were playing outside in it this morning. There wasn't a lot - just enough to have a little fun. I watched from inside the house - this FL gal has thin blood! Thank you for the new cross stitch. So cute! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteIt's snowy and cold in Northern Colorado! Good weather for sewing, that's for sure. "Dreaming of Snow" is adorable, Melisa! Hope you're enjoying your camping trip!
ReplyDeleteWe habe a little bit of snow, but not enough to make a snowman. I like your cross stitch snowman.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful freebie. I just love your designs. Thank You
ReplyDeleteI so hope that you are having a fabulous camping experience. No snow here in Phoenix but we did have some Hail!!! that looked like snow and some freeze warnings for several nights. I am in love with Parade of Homes and the Star Spangled Winter Home, thank you so much. Also, the Mr Snow Blocks are wonderful, can't wait for #12!! Gingerbread with Marshmellows is adorable and the Hot Cocoa recipe with the Gingerbread flavorings is the best!! My daughter and grandson are in love!!! Safe travels, sending warm hugs and best wishes from sunny Arizona.
ReplyDeleteOh! I like this little snowman and the sentiment! We are supposed to get dumped on but it hasn't even begun yet. It has been very cold, though. Brrr! It is slowly warming a little and that is a good sign for snow coming. Somehow, cold and no snow just doesn't seem right, does it?
ReplyDelete6 - 8 inches here in Sparta, TN! Everything is shut down. It is 9 degrees!!
ReplyDeleteGreat weather to cozy in front of the fireplace and sew! Safe travels! Margie \TN
A sweet little freebie, it fits perfectly at the moment, we have light snow, but it's supposed to rain today and then there will be black ice. I stay at home.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time,
Martina
north Mississippi is snowed in. No school this week. I've been stitching your winter saltbox houses. Really enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteLast year we had snow and the oldest granddaughter got soaked trying to play in it. On her wish list this year was snow pants. She was excited when she opened the package. Then she sighed. . .I suppose now that I have them, it won't snow! We have had three inches of snow with about 1/2 an inch of ice on top. Temperatures have been between 12 and 21 and wind gusts 20-40mph. This afternoon, we are to warm up to 40 with rain! We've had a week of this cold and we are. She hasn't spent much time in those snow pants! Love your little Dreaming of Snow!---TerryK in Portland OR@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful embroidery, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteIn some places in Europe there is a snow alert. It never snows in my city. The last time was in 1957.
Hugs
Your "Dreaming of snow" design is beautiful Melisa! We've been having snow in Upstate NY, and right now is soooo cold, 12 Farenheit!! They say another storm is coming with lower temperatures, brrrr! Thank you for sharing !
ReplyDeleteHugs
I love this design! No snow yet here in NW GA. Still dreaming... We are getting bitter cold temps, though.
ReplyDeleteLoved the blog post. I'm looking forward for more suggestions.
