The Making of Clementine- A Halloween Stamp

"Whatcha' workin' on ?" asked Mr. Pinker as I sat in the camp chair stitching away.
"Huh? Oh, Little Clementine! " I replied. Quickly I picked up my fabric to show him my newest Halloween Stamp in the works.

"Cute, " he replied as he turned to walk away.

"Cute? Downright adorable in my book," I chuckled. I then went back to work with great intent on finishing the little feline.  Of course, I had already stitched the border for another stamp, the night before. I reasoned it could be filled in later when I come up with an idea.

Meanwhile Mr. Pinker went into the camper.  Soon I heard a clickety clank.

"Whatcha' doing, Hun?" I yelled over  my shoulder.

" I am going to fix you some supper. A busy gal has got to eat doesn't she? "

"Eeeh you are a keeper! " I shouted at the top of my lungs. And with that I went back to stitching away on little ole' Clementine.

As Mr. Pinker bustled about in the ole' truck camper kitchen, I listened to the melody of a bird serenading me from high above somewhere in the trees. I never did spot her, but I was glad to listen to her as I worked on Clementine. Soon a wonderful aroma wafted through the air. Supper would soon be ready.

"Hmmm, what magical concoction has Mr. Pinker whipped up," I said to Miss Birdie high in the trees.

"Chirp, Chirp" whistled Miss Birdie.

"Hmm I am not sure what that is, but it smells delicious, " I replied back.

From deep in the camper, Mr. Pinker  rang, "Supper is ready! "

With that I dropped little Miss Clementine. Baby Jack -aka a jack- o- lantern bucket - had joined the stitch. Only a few more stitches to go and Clementine would be completed.

After filling my belly full , it was time to finish Clementine. It did not take long to do that.  I even gave her a little bow which I tied and then stitched into place.

Once we were home , I was able to finish Clementine into a little pin pillow- all complete for the Halloween season.

So what's my plans today?  Well, I am thinking of brewing up some trouble by working on another Halloween stamp.
I will also continue working on the ever so lovely Home For the Holidays Sampler by Lori Holt- a sweet gift from dear Joan. The holly is all stitched soon I will be moving toward the house.
As far as my quilting goes? How about my Alabama Beauty!
I will continue working on these projects throughout the week. I think these projects will allow me to get my 15 minutes of stitching a day in. Don't you?
By the way,  my 15 minute project for this week was Alabama Beauty. I made it to the bottom of the quilt - now it is time to switch  to the other half of the quilt. Woo Hoo!  I am doing the Happy Dance!

Well , Sweeties, I have chatted your ears off again. Thank you so much for visiting me today and hearing the tale of Clementine and another lazy day at  camp.

As Always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, y'all

  4. Well, Miz Melisa I do declare that Miss Clementine is downright adorable. That little punkin hanging off her tail is an adorable touch. I've been stitchin' away on something with dense stitching hoping I'll finish it soon but I'm about to put into a bag to finish in 2026. LOL I've also been making another circle quilt that will go to a very dear friend who's helped me in time of serious need. 2025 has been a very difficult year for me!!! Unfortunately, I get very teary when I think about it. I keep telling myself that this too shall pass but I do not deserve what's been happening. Anyway, it is what it is. Will you be home long or hitting the road again. Mr P is a keeper, please give him a big ole hug. And, big hugs to you. DarleneJ

  13. Great little Halloween-ey Stamp, Melisa--so darn cute!! Mr. Pinker is definitely "a keeper"--so nice to be treated to a supper you don't have to prepare--altho' I do like cooking, it's great to have a break now and then isn't it? ;)))
I am still on the mend after my shot --so not much sewing going on here at all... but I did find a backing for a little Christmas table topper and layered it...but even that tired this olde gal out..;(((
Hugs, for a good week Julierose
