Country Red, White and Blue Hutch Tour

Eeeh!  It's filled to the brim with patriotic goodness!

Good morning, Sweeties and welcome. It is hard to believe that Independence Day is fast upon us.

Every year I host our Fourth of July party. The kiddos always enjoy playing in the pool. I will have my cookout, but no play time in the pool. I didn't tell you what happened , did I? Well Mr. Pinker filled up the pool. As we were about to get in the pool to clean the sides, the liner ripped. Boo! Hoo! So that is our next project - put in a new liner.

Anywhoo, back to the filled to the brim hutch.

Little  Liberty  Manor  and  Heart in Hand Needlearts "Merry Making Mini Free"

I filled each and every nook and  cranny with all things red, white and blue.  This was the 1st time that I used the Pioneer Woman plates though I have had them  for over a year.

A vintage canning funnel is perfect to nestle a cross stitch in.

My little Red , White and Blue  stitch was tacked to the side of the hutch. So cute.

The middle shelf was filled with lots of chickens  and gifts from my  loved ones and friends.

Betsy Ewe  sits in a tin candle basket on top of the wooden box with Annie and the gang in the  Stars, Stripes and Chickens   stitch ( one of my patriotic favorites) . I nestled a  little red hen in the jello mold.

Freedom Rings is a piece I worked on last year. I haven't posted her yet. My sister gave me the darling salt and pepper shakers. I keep those on the hutch year round.

Did you see the gorgeous yo yo mat?  My sweet friend Patricia gifted this to me. I keep it out year round too.  Thank you Patricia. 🤗

My sister had an affection for old bottles and jars just as I do. This Ball jar which is filled with faux eggs is one she gifted me.  There is one of the recently bought pot holders underneath the Walmart hen.

Do you remember the cabbage slicer I showed you last week in my vintage thrift haul? Well it landed on the bottom shelf with the blade covered. Lots of knick knacks on top.

I filled the vintage juicer with another one of the thrifted doilies I showed you earlier and some berries. I added a sign , salt and pepper shakers , a Morton tin and  a stitch called Beelieve in Freedom  which I shared a few years ago.

The gorgeous Scottie handkerchief was a gift from sweet Gwen.❤ ( Thank you , Gwen)  I just love it. I usually have it in the living room with a vintage Scottie planter, but not this year.

The white scale was removed and a red one took its place. Of course it was filled to the brim as well with berries and a crocheted doiley.

A little thrifted red colander was perfect to put in a couple of butter pats and kitchen utensils  thrifted and gifted to me from my sis . I found the little cherry cross stitch on Pinterest years and years ago. Do you know who the designer is?

Do you remember using can openers like this?

Well , Sweeties that's my  patriotic hutch in a peanut shell.  Soon all of this will be put away and I will replace it with something else.

  9. So much red, white, and blue goodness in your patriotic hutch, Melisa! Loved examining each shelf and reading your descriptions. I'm so sorry about the pool liner--very frustrating thing to deal with especially at the beginning of the summer. Hope you have a wonderful cookout on the Fourth! ♥

  10. Your new dishes really add a zing to the R,W,&B decorating. The stitches are the perfect accent to everything. Bummer! I bet the kiddos are disappointed about the pool. Happy Independence Day to you and yours, Melisa!

  12. I always thoroughly enjoy your hutch tours. So much eye candy that I have to view the pictures numerous times because I fear missing something. LOL Oh, Heaven forbid I should miss something. LOL How's that "Kitchen Sink" coming along? I know you're busy planning all your July 4th festivities but threading your needle is important, too. My life is so incredibly quiet you'd think I'd accomplish so much!!!! Need to focus more. LOL Big Ole Sticky Hot Hugs, Dear Friend, DarleneJ
