In the Apiary Stamp- Summer Stamp Freebie

It has been a spell since we have been out to the beeyard. How about we take a stroll and see what the little honey makers are up to.

It is hay season on the farm.

Small fields are being cut a little at a time.

Thistles are blooming and butterflies are fluttering.

Oh excuse me, a minute. Here comes Edna to greet  us.
"Hi there, gal. How are you doing on this sunny day?" She is so happy to have visitors.

But what about the bees?

Well they are doing great.  This year we caught 2 swarms.  The beeyard is growing. Mr. Pinker has been tending to them when it is necessary.

Soon we will be harvesting honey.

In the Apiary  is the 8th stamp in the Summer Stamp SAL.

In the Apiary  Stamp was stitched using 10 DMC floss colors including: Blanc, 310, 725, 782, 815,  898, 930, 926,  3345, 3799

As with all of the Summer Stamps, I am stitching them twice. Once as a pin pillow on 14 count tea/ coffee dyed Aida .  Second I am stitching each stamp in a larger sampler  on 14 count Aida that I Rit dyed yellow.

If you are interested in how I dyed my 14 count Aida, I shared the process in a previous post entitled Let's Dye Some Fabric
