| Bunnies, Baskets and Chickens |
For the last few weeks, I have been enjoying a garden vignette on my little white country shelf, but today it is time for the chickens and bunnies to hop into their spring bins for patriotic is coming out.

My theme this year for the shelf was a "Garden theme. "
Here and there , I tucked little seed packets. Later I planted these seeds and returned the packets for decoration.
This little wheelbarrow stitch is a motif from With Thy Needle and Thread's May Word Play. I simply restitched it and made it into a pin pillow.
I kept my bunnies and cabbage pieces out long after Easter
Little quilts were tucked in sugar bowls and thirfted pitchers .
In Granny's wooden drawer which is now used as a riser, little samplers were put on display including Farmhouse Sampler which I shared in 2023 and the Lawson sampler (I haven't shared that one yet. )
On top of the drawer, the Spring Stamps were tucked into a vintage thrifted shaker box

A thrifted flower garden stitch was perfect to welcome in Spring. Do you know who the designer is? I bought this stitch at the Goodwill for a song.

"Grow Whirligig " was a 2023 finish . Sweet Stacy, gifted me this chart! Hi, dear Stacy! ❤ Love ya' , sweet friend. 😘🤗
A "Garden Trifle " was a perfect fit in this little metal fairy garden wheel barrow from the Dollar General.
My seasonal tree which is sitting in an old rusty crusty piece of enamelware gifted to me by my sweet sis, was simply decorated with some faux flowers and beads.
Well y'all that's my country clutter tour of the week. I sure hope I did not make you dizzy.😵😁 You know me. I like to cram as much on my country shelves as possible- it's just my style.

ReplyDeleteI was over the moon to find the little flower garden stitch. It does make me sad when I see a stitch or a quilt that is given away to the thrift store, but it makes me happy that I can rescue them and give them a new home. Thank you for the sweet visit, Barbara. Hugs.

We found out last night that we'll be keeping The Littles (not so little anymore at 5 and 8) tonight and most of tomorrow, and boy we are tired already - lol! ReplyDeleteI had so much neat Country items and vintage items before I moved to Fl the first time--I still have and gotten a bit to replace what I had to sell--but nothing like what I had--but then this is a very small apartment so no room for it all--!!!! hugs, diane

DeleteWow! That was a wonderful thrift find! So pretty! Your using just the little wheelbarrow in the stitching was a great idea. I think the flowers are asters (right?) and they're lovely! I couldn't get the link to the Farmhouse Sampler to work but I think I have it already so I won't worry. Saving the seed packets for your decorating - so clever! Love the cabbage dishes!!
