Apples, pears and cherries all waiting to be harvested.
"Farm Life is being stitched on 14 count tea/ coffee dyed Aida.
Turnips and sweet peas! Oh, how delightful!
The turnips and peas are ready to be harvested.
Happy Happy Farm Friday, y'all.
It is a beautiful day to be working on a farmyard stitch and by golly , that is what I am going to do! ๐ค
The veggies and fruits are plentiful on this stitched farm.
However, I still have more to plant stitch like pumpkins, corn and carrots. But more pressing matters are at hand. I am going to be driving a backhoe and digging out a crystal blue pond right there above the pears and cherries. Well at least that is my plan for today.
I will be adding the blue pond above the cherries today.
There are 2 wild and wacky geese or maybe they are ducks that are waiting to be stitched as well and they do need their pond.
As Always...
Happy Stitching and Quilting,
y'all
Melisa

Back at home, the gals are waiting anxiously for some new arrivals. It may be a couple of weeks but along with some heifers, a new bull is coming to the farm . I hope he is as handsome as the Rodster was. ๐ค
Farm Life is really looking wonderful. Don't worry about the mystery flosses because I believe the colors you're using are working very well. Enjoy! Big Hugs! DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Who is cleaning, cooking, washing etc? You stitch, you quilt, you design, I need more than 24 h a day to do all that I want to. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThe stitching is as always beautiful.
Hugs, Gabi
It looks amazing !! Enjoy your day !
ReplyDeleteLooking great! ☺️ Have a super day Melissa. ๐ค๐♀️xx Barbara @flashinscissors xx
ReplyDeleteA very cool project. Happy stitching this weekend.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a productive day on the farm. The mystery colors look great. I also have a nice set of mystery colors LOL. Enjoy the day. Alicia
ReplyDeleteFarm Life is beautiful! Kids have what they call a hobby farm - I might consider stitching farm life for them - we'll see. Let us know how "the girls" like their new boyfriend. ;-) Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThis is looking fabulous, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteYour mystery flosses are stitching well into your piece. What a fun design!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute cross stitch - good luck with that backhoe. ;) I saw some cross stitch patterns this morning, and they had so much resemblance to your style. We are all lucky to have access to your patterns for free, but you could sell them Melisa! Is Rodster gone?
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely x-stitch piece you are working on, Melisa;))) I love the idea of a blue pond...
ReplyDeleteOnly 19 degrees here this morning with a "feels like" temp of 11--brrrr...and slated to get even colder over the weekend with a cold front moving in...
hugs from under my first hand quilted quilt, Julierose ;)))
What a perfect piece for you to work on -- just like home, right? ๐๐๐ Hope it's a fertile Spring on the farm!
ReplyDeletegood morning travelling Melisa.
ReplyDeletehow are you doing this morning? i sure do love the photos you have been sending lately. i love the one of the beautiful cows by the fence. they are either waiting patiently for your return or waiting for the "man of the hour". it is such a cute photo - i love it.
i hope you are having nice weather. we are back up to the 80's. i think the stars are in alignment for you and Mr. Pinker as you travel. the weather is staying nice as you journey from site to site.
i really like the piece you are working on "farm life". i liked it so much i ordered it just now from Etsy. it was $9 plus a few dollars for shipping. i don't like paying shipping fees. i would much rather the patterns be PDF that way i can print it as many times as i need. i have a way of losing my patterns. i must say i don't lose yours - they are all stacked in a big pile on the floor. my wish is that i get them all alphabetized very soon. i love each and everyone of your patterns.
i have a new section for your embroidery pieces. i have all the parts for Mr. Snow in it's own little stack.
thank you so much for your posts. i really love travelling with you. i can't wait until i see a message that you have made it to Lakeside, California. my car is full of gas and i'm waiting to meet up with you. i would love to meet you someday. you are a true inspiration to me.
please have safe adventures and watch out for snakes. they love the warmth from the sun in the desert. be very, very careful please. i am not trying to scare you by any means. i just want you and Mr. Pinker to be on the lookout. i hate snakes. my daughter and i were once walking along a path outside of a golf course and right before us was a baby rattlesnake. i have heard that babies can be very dangerous, too.
blessings and love are with you. stay safe. no flat tires. that would be a nightmare.
a great big squeezy bear hug is enveloping you right now. i hope you feel it.
