Walking the Wash Wednesday- Wordless Wednesday

Happy Happy Wednesday, Sweet friends and welcome to a "Not So Wordless Wednesday " post ( a few nature photos and words- that's all. ) I sure would be delighted if you joined me as I walk through the desert wash . There is lots of beauty to enjoy.  Let's go! ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒต

Are these Joshua trees ? Someone told Mr. Pinker they were. They were way back in the wide yonder.

Rugged terrain.

The Octotillo Cactus was so green.

And very prickly...

Silly little cactus!

Thank you for taking the time to join me today. ๐Ÿค—

  9. Yes, those are Joshua trees. They are named after Joshua in the Bible. The local Mormon pioneers thought they looked like Joshua raising his hands in prayer to God. They are amazing in the moon light, an ancient soul praising God.

  12. Did you know that the Octotillo cactus is also known as Christ's Crown of thorns. When they bloom they have beautiful little heart shaped red flowers near each thorn to represent Christ's blood. I love all your beautiful pictures.
