Spring Stamp SAL- Stamp 2 Spring Planting

It's day 2 of sharing my Spring Stamps  in the Spring Stamp Collection SAL !!!
Welcome, ya'll !  I hope your weekend has been a very lovely one so far.

Today I will be preparing for our Easter gathering which we will have tomorrow.  Hopefully the rain will subside so the little ones can hunt the eggs hidden by the Easter bunny. πŸ‡πŸ°πŸ‡πŸ°

In my down time, I will be working on the Spring Stamps. Yesterday I shared Stamp  1 Spring Watering Can

Today's stamp  is called " Spring Planting "

It has the most floss colors and probably if I had to choose which of the stamps is the most tedious, this one would be it. So might as well get it over with right? πŸ˜€
It is not really difficult, just a  few long stitch and back stitching if you so choose.
Speaking of backstitching  I ended up outlining my seed bag with DMC 610 . If you look carefully at the top of the stitch is dashed stitches to represent the tear line of the seed packet. If your seed bag shows up well on your fabric, you may not want to backstitch. The word "SEED" was created using 1 strand of 3371.

This is the only chart that uses DMC 610 so after using it , you may want to go ahead and  put it back in storage .

PLANTING FOR BLUEBIRDS
There are many things that you can do to attract bluebirds to your area. In fact in the last 10 years the population has grown since more people are using nesting boxes . Planting trees and shrubs provide shelter, protection and food . Dense hedges and conifers are best for protection and cover from predators such as hawks. Bluebirds eat insects and berries. So a variety of berry bushes might be considered.
As far as landscaping in your yard, bluebirds like short grassy areas. Bluebirds also like close perching spots near their nesting boxes  so they can spot insects.

If you are interested in stitching along with me, place grab the image below.

Many of ya'll know but I always encourage you to read my little disclaimer and note about getting my charts.  ⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇

NOTE: Normally I have been able to create links to the charts and instructions which were in JPG form. For some reason, recent updates on Google Docs. has prevented me from doing that and I am not able to create a pdf without having to deal with storage issues.  Many dear stitchers say they right click, save the image and then print.  I think some have copied and pasted it to a Word document that they can print off as well. I hope you are able to find a way to enjoy this chart. You will have to click each page to save. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding and for all of the helpful tips and ideas.

I stitch my little designs for fun and to decorate my home. I feel very blessed by this community and love sharing my little charts, but I am not a professional designer. And I do not have professional software. Thank you for understanding . I am always grateful for your kind encouragement , your visits, and for stitching my little designs.

TIP ON PRINTING THE CHART

* One of my dear stitching friends told me exactly how she was able to print the chart to the correct size.

Using her phone she saved the image of the chart to her photo gallery and then emailed it to herself. From her computer or whatever device she was using she was able to then print the chart from her email and it came out without resizing it. It worked for her, maybe it would work for you if you are having trouble.

* Another dear stitcher said she enlarged the chart on her browser and then took a screen shot of it and then printed it.  She also saved the screenshot to her photos on her iPad for reference.

If you have any other tips, I would greatly appreciate it . Ya'll know I am not too tech savvy. I do well to have got this far. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

  1. If you save the picture and color
Chart to your phone, you can also print those photos from your phone without emailing it to yourself if you have the printer connected to your phone. That's what I do. Love this SAL

  3. Thank you for your beautiful patterns, I love them all! I click on the photo and press the screen save buttons, then edit to lose any until I have the picture I want, then save to photos. I can’t print from photos or it comes out as it comes out as 4 x 6” pic so I save in books and can print as an A4 page from books (and I put the page back in printer drawer to print double sided). It works for me πŸ˜πŸ™‹‍♀️πŸ‘πŸ’•πŸ˜˜xx (Barbara of TheFlashingScissors) πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

Beautiful SAL. Sadly, I can no longer engage in cross-stitch due to worsening glaucoma, but I still love to visit your blog and see what you're stitching up.
    Happy Easter.

  9. Well, I certainly know what I will be doing this weekend, along with Easter prepping. I need to finish the borders and install the sweet designs. I love the Bluebirds and butterflies. Here in Arizona we don't have these sweet little birds but they bring back memories of my early life on the farm in Illinois. Thank you for sharing the tips on the printing to size. Happy Easter to you and yours. Sending you many hugs from sunny Arizona.

  11. I really like that you add little details, such as the tear strip stitching. So, now the hardest one is done and it's smooth sailing, right? Like that you're making extras for the bowl, too.
