The blocks measure 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" unfinished and are made of 2 1/2" strips and blocks.

Angela of So Scrappy for Scrap Happy Saturday
Mmmmh, yummy. Blueberries. Good for the eyes.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks beautiful. Where do you take the time for doing all these pretty things?
Have a happy week-end,
Gabi
Good morning, dear Gabi and Happy Saturday. I am enjoying all of the berries that are coming into season. They are certainly yummy. Oh thank you so much on my quilt. It is coming along nicely. I still have not figured out how I will set the blocks but that will come to me in due time. Have a fabulous weekend. Hugs.
DeleteHappy, Happy Saturday Mz Melisa and company!!! Yummy smoothie. Lip smacking good! Love all the blocks. I'm crazy about purple and orange, too. Perfect for Halloween projects! BTW, this afternoon I read your excellent 2023 Pin Pillow tutorial. I have quite a few things stitched waiting patiently to become pin pillows. For some extremely silly reason they intimidate me. I have made a handful but it is time to take the plunge so I can enjoy them. I spent the majority of my day binge watching Heartland on Netflix while stitching. Sounds like a wonderful plan for tomorrow, as well. LOL Happy Saturday with a big ole hug! DarleneJ
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday, dear Darlene! I have never seen Heartland before, but I have rave reviews. I am going to have to do a binge watching myself. Hee! Hee! What a wonderful day you had. I was hoping to have a whole day of stitching but those blame ole chores got in the way . But I am not giving up- tomorrow will be my stitching day! Oh I know you would have no problem making a pin pillow. I have started using fusible webbing on the stitched pieces and the backing here lately. It makes the pillow feel so wonderful and more substantial. Do let me know how your pin pillows come out when you begin . Bear Hugs from the holler.
DeleteYou are so lucky to have established blueberry bushes! I'll skip the smoothie, but I'll eat them out of hand! :D
ReplyDeleteLOL I have to admit that most of the berries never make it into the smoothie. Hee! Hee! We try to plant a bush every year. I am amazed that they grow so well in our poor soil. LOL Have a great weekend. Hugs.
DeleteYour quilt blocks look fantastic, Melisa!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday, Robin. I am so happy how these blocks are coming along. It is going to be one colorful quilt. Enjoy your afternoon, sweet friend. Hugs.
DeleteYour blocks look great, Melisa! Enjoy that fresh blueberry smoothie and have one for me! Have a great weekend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteAaw thank you so much, Brenda. On the Plus Side is coming along. Wish you were here to enjoy a smoothie with me. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteYour blueberries look so yummy, Melisa! There is nothing better than fresh-picked blueberries. We got to do that once, in Vermont. So good! I love your purple plus blocks, too. That is turning into a beautiful project, with all the colors!
ReplyDeleteFresh picked berries are the best! I am so grateful that our bushes are producing. The grandsons love the berries. I am so glad this brought back fond memories of picking in Vermont. I am very pleased with how On the Plus Side is coming along. Hugs and Blessings.
DeleteI like blueberry smoothies too! Truth be told, I like blueberries anything. . .LOL! Those positive blocks look amazing. Well done!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteI am the same way, Terry. Truth be told, I do not know of any berry that I dislike. The smoothies have been very refreshing. Thank you for the sweet Saturday visit. Hugs.
DeleteWe have smoothies every morning. Pro tip, cut out the olive oil. Its not good for you. Leave the flax seeds in, or use chia seeds. Kale is better than spinach for you. I would leave out the oats too, blach! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much for the tips. I love chia seeds too and keep them on hand for smoothies as well. I do need to pick up some kale on our next grocery shopping trip. It seems to last longer in the fridge too. I wish you a wonderful weekend and enjoy those refreshing smoothies. Hugs.
DeleteLoving your "On the positive side" quilt - a great scrappy one! Grand kids are here - 3 of them anyway. Swimming this morning in the lake. A bit of crafting this afternoon. Naps right now - boy I could sure use one. ;-) Blessings!
ReplyDeleteLOL I know what you mean by needing a nap when the grandkids visit. Hee! Hee! I bet they are having a ball. I figured you would have some crafty sessions with the grandkids. I look forward to hear what y'all make. My oldest pulled out the paints the other day and worked on his art projects. If only I could get the youngest interested. Enjoy your time with the kiddos, Donna. Warm Summertime Hugs.
DeleteOMGoodness! So many healthy things in that smoothie. I hope it tastes good. My Aunt had a blueberry patch out back, too. Picking reminds me of her. I like them but am sensitive to them and have to keep them to small quantities. Enjoy double for me. Ooh, a new color. a beautiful addition to the whole. The final quilt is going to be wonderful. Can't wait to see what July's flower will be for the In the Garden blocks.
ReplyDeleteAaw I am so happy this brought back fond memories of your dear Aunt and picking the yummy berries. We used to pick them by the gallon which takes a lot of time, but well worth it. I have been neglectful on the In the Garden blocks . Goodness do I need to catch up. LOL. I think that is what I will work on this week. Sending warm hugs and blessing and thank you for the sweet Saturday visit.
DeleteYour cross blocks are really coming along. You'll have enough for a nice sized quilt soon.
ReplyDeleteYummy smoothie, Melisa!!
ReplyDeleteThe cross blocks are amazing!
Hugs from Spain.
