Mystery Autumn Stamp Stitch Along

Squirrels, pumpkins, scarecrows, Oh my! Good afternoon, ya'll . Are you gearing up for fall yet? I have noticed that some of the stores are starting to stock their shelves with pumpkins and what not.

I was wondering if you would like to join me in a Mystery Autumn  Stamp Stitch Along. It is nothing elaborate - simple little stamps and all things autumn. They can be stitched individually or as one large piece. I am going to do both.  Would you like a sneaky peek?

I dyed my fabric with a Rit dye mix of red and yellow to create an orange tint. I then dipped the fabric in a coffee/tea bath.  Oooh ! Rather splotchy isn't it?

There will be 9 stamps and one bonus . If you are going to do them as one piece the layout will be in a set of 9 with a topper piece.

If you have stitched a stamp before , you know that they are small and have a design size of 35 x 35. So you could easily stitch them up in a day, and then move on to your other stitching especially if you have the borders already stitched.

All of the borders will be in DMC 898.

These are floss colors that I am going to use  for all ten stamps DMC 898, 975, 310, 930, 3345, 919, 921, 815, 435, 469, 780, 782, 712, 407, 29, 355.  If there are any changes, I will let you know here on my blog.

Pop back in Monday August 8, 2022 for the first part of the SAL ; I will be giving you the stamp border and the large layout if you are going to do them as one piece.  Then on Friday August 12th  I will post the first stamp. Ten days of stamps- nine which can be used in the large piece and the extra is for any that you would prefer to replace.

If all goes well, I will probably post at 12:00 a.m CST each day.

So what do you think? Does it sound like fun? I can tell you I am chomping at the bits to begin stitching the individual ones. ( I have already stitched 9 stamps for the large stitch . )

Last year I shared Autumn Stamp. It certainly could be used in this piece too.

To visit other stamps that I have shared click here to visit a Stamp Parade that I shared in March . I also have shared a Summer Stamp in July.

Please use #autumnstampsal and #pinkernpunkinquilting  so I can follow along or you can direct message or email me so I do not miss your stitch.  Let me apologize beforehand if it takes me a few days to reply. ( August is not a good month for me since our family tragedy last year, but I am trying to stay a busy bee) .

Any whoo! Now for some other news. I just may - just may  mind you - pop in more than once a day on my blog during the stitch along. You know me I have to chat and share my quilting, thrifting and other random happenings.  I hope you do not mind. I will try to not chat you head off , but lol I can not promise.

Well thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I hope you evening is filled with blessings and as always...

Happy  Stitching and Quilting, ya'll

Melisa

Thank you for the sweet visit.

I can smell Autumn dancing in the breeze, the sweet chill of pumpkin and crisp sun burnt leaves.

Hugs and Stitches!!!!🤗🧵❤

Dedicated to my baby sister, Amy. Love and miss you, Amo.

I am joining these lovely ladies' link parties. I hope you check them out; they always have so many wonderful projects going on and provide the opportunity for other needle workers to meet.

Such a fun time, I am excited to stitch a little autumn, even though here in Arizona it is still quite a long way off !! All the better to do it now, it is too HOT to be outside!! Loving to start this fun SAL, I am an October child so it is my favorite time of the year. (who am I kidding, I love seasons for different reasons, lol) Hugs from Arizona.
