Happy Independence Day!

Hip Hip Hooray! It is our nation's 250th birthday!  Happy Independence Day to all of those who celebrate! πŸ§¨πŸ§¨πŸ§¨πŸŽ‡

Dear Annelies at Quilts and Siggies Blogspot posted her "250 Year - A Patrioit's Log Cabin" on her blog yesterday. I do hope you will visit  Annelies and see her beautiful stitching. She shares the most beautiful needlework, hers and antique pieces as well. Thank you, Annelies. ❤😘

And may I give a big thank you with lots of love to all of the veterans and active military  members who have served and protected our great country. One of those Veterans is my daughter . I am one Proud Mama of both my girls! ❤♡πŸ’™

I plan to spend most of the day relaxing with needle and thread  in hand, though I am not sure what I will begin first.

By evening, I hope to see a grand fireworks display.

  7. Happy 4th, Melisa! I hope you have a wonderful day! Your dedication to your sister made me think of my sweet sister-in-law who passed away a few years ago, much too young. She loved big family potlucks and was the 13x9 pan queen in our family! I miss her terribly! Hugs to you!

  8. Happy Fourth! I hope you have a relaxing day and that you make lots of progress with your stitching! We will be having a quiet day and then we will be listening to the fireworks as well as being on the alert for fire starting in the dry grass. I'm glad you have so many wonderful memories of your sweet sister and that you share them with us. I feel like I've had the chance to know her.
