I am still plugging away on Grandma's Love. I am so sorry to show it to you so often, but I am quilting on it like it is my job . 😀
I have made some progress on my sampler . I just work on it here and there. I RIT dyed my fabric with charcoal gray and brown and then washed most of it out. The fabric color is so yummy ! I do wish you could see it in person. 👀
Today's Santa Sunday stitch will be Prairie Schooler's " A Merry Mini Surprise" Santa from booklet 215. I think he will be finished by the day's end and if I am lucky fully finished by the end of the month .
I just realized the other day that I had failed to show you a piece that I finished before Christmas. This is Santa's Helpers which is a 2022 freebie from The Scarlet House.
LAST WEEK' S GOALS.
1. Quilt 9 more blocks on Grandma's Love. Yes! I am bound and determined to complete it soon.

DeleteSuch a gorgeous photo of that pretty little cardinal, they seem such wonderful birds in their bright plumage. Your wild Rose's look rather spectacular too, is this your own design?
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Jenny. We are fortunate to have many birds visit our feeders particularly the cardinals. We seem to have more males than females. I watched a video by Beth Shibley of Lovelivequilt blogspot. and I had to create this quilt. She made it look so easy.
DeleteLove your Wild Wild Roses. They are a vision in glorious and crazy colour! You have the prettiest birds visiting your place, Melisa.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying every minute of working on these wild roses. It is sorta fun piecing these without a plan other than adding reds, pinks and greens. Have a wonderful week, Kim and thank you for the sweet visit.
DeleteGrandma's Love is so unusual and I love it. It must be fun to look at all those lovely fabrics as you quilt. I agree that the charcoal and brown dyed cloth is yummy and very vintage-y looking. Wild Roses are fun. I've seen those around here and there from time to time in blog land and always think someday I'll give them a try but someday has not arrived yet.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying every stitch in Grandma's Love. It is a joy to look at all of the different fabrics the quilter used. Some I believe are feedsacks and others perhaps shirtings. I hope to get it completed soon. Thank you for the sweet visit, Cathy.

ReplyDeleteI am trying to use every teeny scrap I can on the wild rose blocks. It is fun watching the roses come to life. The cardinals have been very active here the last few days and I agree their color certainly brightens the winter landscape. I hope your week is off to a great start. Thank you for the sweet visit, Astrid.
