Mr. Pinker and I had a very lovely camping trip this past week. Mr. Pinker hunted and I enjoyed every moment at the campground buzzing away on my sewing machine. I will show you what I worked on later.
When I wasn't on the sewing machine, I was stitching on my Frosty McChill quilt.
Oh, boy, can I tell you how excited I am . I finished 7 blocks and this week I have completed 2 more.
3 more blocks to go and then to the border. By golly, I think this quilt will be finished by the first of December.
I am just quilting a cross hatch design in the blocks and using this template for the border. I will continue stitching on it tonight.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have put away all of my Halloween which was a big job.
And Thanksgiving stitching came out.
I fully finished Jean Farrish's Give Thanks . Jean posted this on her blog in the October 10, 2020 post. It was a fun piece to work on ; though I do have to admit when I stitched it I made so many boo boos.
Speaking of Thanksgiving stitches. I have a wee GIVE THANKS freebie to share too. It is a quicky stitch- one of those you can stitch up in 30 minutes or so.
Many of you know , but I always like to leave this little disclaimer.
I stitch my little designs for fun and to decorate my home. I feel very blessed by this community and love sharing my little charts, but I am not a professional designer. And I do not have professional software. Thank you for understanding . I am always grateful for your kind encouragement , your visits, and for stitching my little designs.
Alright ya'll. I am off to snuggle on the couch with a little snowman quilt . Have a great evening.
Eeeh ! Christmas decorating is going on too!
Happy Stitching and Quilting, ya'll
Melisa

ReplyDeleteMe gustan muchos tus bordados¡¡¡ y tu colcha
Enjoy your quilting. Thank you for the freebie. Your really do have a ton of Halloween stitching. Wow!
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Cathie. I have been enjoying every stitch in this quilt. In fact it is hard to put down. I did not realize I had so many Halloween pieces until I started gathering them up. Lol. Have a great week.
DeleteCongrats on all the progress on your snowman quilt. You always have such fun stitcheries in the works. I was inspired to get back to my embroidery project this week.
ReplyDeleteAaah thank you so much, Kate. I do find embroidery relaxing and quick to pick up when the grandbabies are here. I hope that you are enjoying your embroidery project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
DeleteYour Frosty is coming along beautifully and I love how you're quilting it! I sent mine off to Primitive Gatherings's Red & White Challenge. How fun to be camping this time of year. Such beautiful scenery and perfect weather for campfires!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited and so very honored that you sent your Frosty to the Primitive Gatherings Red & White Challenge, Susie. Please keep me updated on the challenge. I am enjoying every stitch in finishing up my Frosty. I hope to get in on the wall by December. Thank you for the sweet visit.
DeleteWhat a fun time you both had doing what you love! I just love the frosty's and was wondering if you did anything special to the stitcheries before putting them into the quilt? Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteWe both had a fabulous time, Deb. It was a relaxing trip as well. I did not do anything special to the embroidery blocks and did not use a stabilizer on the back. Since I know that this will get little use other than hanging on the wall, I thought the blocks would be ok. Thank you so much for asking. I am having a ball working on it. Have a great week.
DeleteHow wonderful to be able to relax in nature and quilt! Your Frosty quilt is fabulous and you are so close to finishing! I love the outdoor photos, especially the one where your hoop is in your chair waiting for you to return!
ReplyDeleteIt was so quiet and relaxing , Kathy. I got a lot completed. I even brought my sewing machine outside until late evening. Thank you so much for the sweet visit.
DeleteSuper post, Melisa! Love the Give Thanks design! Glad you and Mr. Pinker had a good time.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Robin. I have been trying to stay as busy as possible. Give Thanks was a fun quick stitch.
