Prim Winter Faith-A Christmas Freebie

Good morning. I hope you are doing well. Come on in and visit for awhile. The trees are lit ,and it is nice and toasty inside.

The Farm Tree looking a little crooked here. Lol.

I have a small little tree in the big dough bowl filled with a small village. The tree has vintage wooden ornaments on it.

Here is my stitchy spot. It is a nice comfy chair that I can sink into and stitch the day away.

Do you have a particular candle scent that you like to burn during this time of the year? Normally I have a pumpkin pie candle burning. This year I have a new scent that I am burning in my wax burner- Orange Buttercream . It is not a Christmas smell, but it smells so so yummy!  I purchased this at Walmart. I usually just put it in my Walmart pickup order which is so convenient.  I picked up a little Orange and Pine scent too, but haven't tried that yet.   I put my wax in an old candle jar and place on the warmer.

17 More Days till Christmas. I am so excited ! Do you have all of your Christmas shopping done? No not me -just a few more things to pick up for the grandkids.

I am still stitching Christmas; I stitch it year round. There are so many wonderful free designs available during this time of the year to go along with those amazing charts to purchase l. Isn't it so exciting to have  such a variety?  I am so giddy hip hopping between Christmas stitching projects.

As  I have been stitching, I have been  enjoying some wonderful Christmas movies as well. Every year I have to start the season off by watching " A Child's Christmas in Wales" and " A Pioneer Christmas" . My dear IG friend, Tracey, recommended  A House Without  A Christmas Tree" . It was a wonderful family movie as well and will now be added to my yearly watch list.  Of course, I have also been watching the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and all of the classics like Rudolph and Frosty. - Yeah I am a kid at heart.

Here are my last 3 ornament in the Prim Winter ornaments; there will be 5. If you missed,      Prim Winter Home, Prim Winter Peace   or Prim Winter Joy  , click on the names, and you will be directed back to the posts and the pdfs.

Three ornaments down and now for the fourth. The fourth ornament is called Prim Winter Faith. It is a simple little design with Baby Jesus . I did take liberties and add snow and snowflakes , but those could be left off.

Prim Winter Faith is a small measuring at 33 W x 45 H, and on 14 count aida, it would measure 2 3/8" x 3 1/4".

I used DMC floss but use whatever floss and colors would make you happy. The colors I chose were 310, 221, 895, B5200, 898, 353 and 782.

If you would like to stitch this little piece, just click on the pdfs below. Each page is on a separate download (I'm not tech savvy). They may print out light too; I apologize for that.

  4. What a cozy stitching spot you have, Melisa! Lovely Faith ornament and again thank you for sharing your designs with us. Not a candle person due to allergies! I have a few stocking stuffers left to buy, otherwise I am finished with gifts for 2020. Happy Tuesday!

  6. What a wonderful pattern! This will be my very next project. Thank you so much for sharing this. I still have a few things to buy for my grandchildren. i am not a big Christmas shopper now that my kids have grown up. I may try some of the movies you have listed. I start out the season with a Hallmark movie called, "The Spirit of Christmas". It is a bit christmas and a bit ghostly, so it is perfect for my first seasonal movie around September and October. My next seasonal movie is another Hallmark movie called, "A Season For Miracles" about an aunt who takes in her niece and nephew. They end up in a town called Bethlehem. After that I love, "A Grandpa For Christmas". I also try to get in several versions of, "A Christmas Carol", Then it is on to the classic favorites. I will be stitching all year for Christmas because of all of the free and bought patterns I ended up with this season! It has turned out to be a fun Christmas this year. I will miss it when it is gone.

  7. Oh Melisa, thank you! This is the perfect stitch for Faith.
Dolly Parton had a Christmas special last weekend and I loved watching. She gave a Christian message throughout the entire show. It was not the most polished show but she got the message of our Saviors birth perfectly.
We watch Christmas Vacation every year. Love Clark and cousin Eddy. Those characters are hilarious.
Your home looks so cozy all decked out for Christmas. I'm not putting out all my decorations this year. We are in our 70's and won't be getting together with family this year....darn covid. I do have all my Christmas stitchery's set out though. I'll start Faith this week. Patty McDonald

I bought the orange and pine scented wax melts and it smells exactly like a Christmas tree! I love all traditional Christmas movies and watch the children’s classics too! I love seeing your home. Your style is right up my alley!! We are doing a major remodel and I can’t wait until it’s done and I can put out all my country clutter!! Hope you have a wonderful night!

  15. Your home looks so cozy and warm all decorated for Christmas, Melisa! You have really outdone yourself with this series of charts--they are all so sweet and I love seeing them together. Thank you again!

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was always the Christmas movie mom and I would watch each December when I was up visiting her. There she was a 90+ year old woman howling at the Griswold family antics. Oh, how I miss her...

  16. Thank you for sharing your talent and home! I cant wait to stitch some of your beautiful designs. I have a few questions before I begin: You don't specify how many strands to use, so does that mean I should use all 6 strands? Also, for the aida cloth, do you use white and dye it with tea/coffee yourself? Is the oatmeal or light oatmeal color of aida cloth a sufficient substitute? Thank you

  17. Sorry, a follow up question: I'm trying to estimate how much floss to buy. You give the stitch count for each color, but I don't know the number of stitches in each skein of floss. Can you help with that? Thanks again!
